3 /5 Wendy Smith: I noticed the clerk at the register was friendly and helpful to other customers which is what I’ve become used to at Ace Hardware stores. As a matter of fact, he was so chatty with the woman checking out in front of me, that he didn’t mind holding up me and the others in line. it was pretty obvious that he knew her, finally she had to get going and it was my turn to check out. not a word said to me, I was checked out, was not offered a bag for my purchase, I didn’t have a chance to give him my rewards number… Obviously I was not a familiar face in the store so I was treated differently. As I was leaving I heard him greet the person behind me in line. I’m staying at a campground in Old Town, I had a choice of driving to this Ace Hardware in Cross City or driving to the Ace Hardware in Trenton. I selected Cross City, next time I will select Trenton.
