5 /5 Daniel De Arazoza: First time visit to this nature park. It was a pleasant short walk along the creek. The water was low enough that some visitors were walking through it. Looks like a great place to bring your dog for a walk as well. Its about 0.5 mile total each way.

3 /5 Rj Phillips: Ive been wanted to explore this park for a while being in a mobility chair has its challenges. As I entered the small parking lot theres only one handicap spot near where the bathrooms are there is a wheelchair ramp to get up to it but if youre in a mobility chair its almost impossible to get to the bathroom. The trails themselves are not very handcuff friendly for mobility chair most the trails off of the main trail are impossible to get down to unless you can walk theres a lot of exposed roots along the way and the two boardwalks are very difficult to get onto for the mobility chair due to the roots and the erosion lifting Pathways up too high. Mind you I did enjoy my visit its a nice canopy area and you can see the water that runs through in the Creeks during this time of year most of them are dry with a few exceptions I do suggest you wear mosquito spray there are a lot of dog walkers there makes me wish I could walk on my two legs again so I could really enjoy the park to the max still worth the trip take a few minutes break enjoy nature

5 /5 Max: I was unfamiliar with this park, but will definitely be going back. This place has easy hiking along scenic creek, and plenty of trail options. Dog friendly, and will return with the dogs. A city park in the suburbs that lets you forget you are close to civilization.

UF Bat Houses - Gainesville

Sharanya Sarkar: We visited because my partner loves animals, and he absolutely loved this experience. In his words, it was exciting, communal, scientifically meaningful, and a rare opportunity to witness a natural event in a controlled and respectful environment. Watching the bats emerge was genuinely fascinating. It gave us access to something youd never be able to see otherwise, since these bats typically live deep in caves. The area also has a peaceful lakefront spot where you can relax and unwind while waiting for the bats to come out. Definitely worth it for nature and wildlife enthusiasts!

Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo - Gainesville

Mike B: Amazing zoo with great staff! Its a very clean zoo and its lay out to see all animals is great! Monkeys, birds, boars, snakes, turtles, Nyala, and so much more! There was a massive peacock walking around the paths, beautiful animal. I suggest! 10 dollars per adult and and 6 bucks with seniors and small children.

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park - Micanopy

Nicole B: This is a great park if you want to get some hiking in while keeping an eye out for wildlife! We spent 5-6 hours through out the park at several different entrances/locations. We hiked multiple trails including the la chua (alligators), bolen bluff (bison), observation tower (bison), and half of cones dike trail. We also stopped at the eco passage observation boardwalk and saw 12+ wild horses using our binoculars. Make sure to take a paid of binoculars as you will want them for a better chance of seeing wildlife if they dont happen to be up close.

Sweetwater Preserve - Gainesville

Robert Law: Nice little suburban trails along a creek and up and down a hill. You could almost think youre out in the country. The trails are numbered, but the map is on the back of the notice board so we just meandered around the preserve for a while. I found the map on the way out.

Squirrel Ridge Park - Gainesville

Raegan Simpson: It was a great park to play kickball. I didnt use the playground, yet there was one. I dont recall using the restrooms. Spent a couple hours with 50 of my closest friends having a kickball tourney and eating lunch. Several benches to sit at and ample parking.
