Moccasin Lake Nature Park - Clearwater (FL)

5 /5 rex donahough: 1 hour worth of trails Small butterfly garden Education areas with animals Clean bathroom Plenty of areas to sit and picnic Tranquil little Park setback in the neighborhood, but the views once you get there couldnt be overstated. The amazing trail system is well taken care of and boasts plenty of boardwalks with beautiful Vistas. Small creeks and a river run through this park wonderfully pinpointed by a few ponds. There are some sunny areas, but its mostly a beautiful shaded walk through the woods. I definitely wasnt expecting there to be an Aviary showing off some of the areas bird culture, which was pretty amazing and educational.

5 /5 Cathy Morris: I loved this park. They have rescued birds-of-prey here. We watched them feed the owls. It was fascinating . They have a blind falcon and other beautiful birds that have found a safe home here. Theres really nice hiking trails and a butterfly garden, but the highlight was the marsh area. We saw so much wildlife! I cant wait to go back.

5 /5 Doug Duensing: Very cool place,95% nice smooth walking and bridges... They have a very cool, awesome raptor sanctuary too! Vultures, Hawks, a bunch of owls!! So so cool! Saw a good amount of wildlife too! Snakes, turtles, gecko, a bunch of birds, and of course a few gators!! Far away gators! Didnt know why my FIL has hidden it from me. Easy access too right off Gulf to Bay! Give your donation when you get there!

5 /5 Jonathan Huie: The outer loop is a mile, so it’s a smallish park, but it’s pretty and natural. The trails are a mix of crushed shell and boardwalk. Bicycles and dogs are not allowed. The ”lake” is actually a marsh with water lilies. it is next to US 19, so there’s quite a bit of road noise. It closes at 5 PM.

5 /5 Brigitte Ferdinandsen: What an experience for any raptor lover! We found the trails to be very pleasant. Can’t believe we can access 51 acres of bliss.
