What Clients Are Saying about Moon Rock Exhibit (on GG)
5 /5 Michael Reese: A small but informative exhibit about some of the Apollo space missions.
5 /5 Harlan Stephen (Gogostevie): Apollo 7 astronaut Donn Eisele never made it to the moon, but he got a lot closer than almost everyone else. NASA later gave him a rock collected from Apollo 15s landing, and that small piece of the moon was donated to the Broward library where its now on permanent display.
Now you can get closer to the moon than Donn did while flying with Walt and Wally in Apollo 7.
Harbordale Park - Fort LauderdaleShannon Santa Maria: This is a great playground, but it’s gotten completely out of hand. This is a drug addict’s haven. There are people who are doing drugs in broad daylight (she comes literally every day, rolls blunts and sparks it up), men fighting and screaming profanity all in front of the children. The other day, I witnessed 3 men harassing an older gentleman bound to a wheelchair, absolutely shameless behavior!
I have found used condoms, cigarette butts/ashes, empty alcohol bottles, trash everywhere but in the bins, there are also caches of clothing and food items strewn across all of the seating/tables in this park. People who have passed out drunk, sleeping in the grass. I know I am not the only person that finds it absolutely ridiculous that I pay high rent to live in the area and have to drive completely out of the way, to a different city to enjoy outdoor activities with my kid. Go to Hollywood for nice parks, Ft. Lauderdale is not doing their due diligence. I am never someone to write reviews, but I’m absolutely appalled by how the city has allowed this to go on and as long as no one is taking the time to complain, this will continue to get worse.
Secret Woods Nature Center - Fort LauderdaleIddet Milian-Prada: I’ve lived on Peter’s roads for decades and never went to explore these trails. I did go once to a wedding at their cabin.
The trails were perfect and well kept. Loved the board walk, some with rails others without. I also liked how some trails were both board walk and mulch trail on and off.
Loved taking the kids with their scooters. They had a blast.
I loved how all of the trails were shaded. I loved the swampy areas.
The manatee overlook is still under construction and I would really like to go back once it’s complete.
I did all of the trails and it took about one hour.
They also had an area blocked off in the parking lot with a kids play area , restrooms , shade and water.
Nightmare Village - Fort LauderdaleJon Allon: Truly wonderful experience. My 10 year old daughter was so scared tht she never made it into the haunted house after the initial scares at the entrance. Provided a great laugh. Creative haunted house, great actors and actresses, ran very smoothly, no crowded line to walk through house in, ALL AROUND 5 STARS! We will be back again for sure.
Ellis Point - Fort LauderdaleAugust Wong: This is a meeting place on the most east of northern side of river walk with a great view of Ft. Lauderdale skyline. It is located outside the historic Stranahan House at the beginning of Riverwalk.
You can hop on the water trolley or water taxi from here.
Fort Lauderdale Historical Society - Fort LauderdaleZachary Talbot: Old Fort Lauderdale. We have an interesting little history that can be found in a few little historic buildings in this area. It is also a cool little place to come chill by the river. Could be a good date place to bring a pub sub and enjoy some fresh air.
Florida Panthers Art Mural - Fort LauderdaleJosefina Bautista: Visiting Florida and caught the Panthers Stanley cup parade super fun experience #gopanthers rain and all fun experience
DC Alexander Park - Fort LauderdaleRichard Schloss: Really cool park with very unique architecture. It has a playground I wish I had when I was a kid. Swings, ropes, fun stuff with a view. The restrooms are indeed there, in a little nook.
