5 /5 Jamie: Great place to take your kids to play. They have a fun playground and you can even bring your fur babies to play in their own fenced in play area. Big dogs have a separate area from the little dogs to help with accidents. It is nice to be able to go inside a gate and close it before opening whichever side is appropriate for your dog. They also have a soccer field and ball field. The only improvements I can think of is a water fountain and a larger parking lot. I would recommend!

Definitely a great place for a childs birthday party even has a dog park with obstacle courses for your doggies too. I loved it! Cant wait to go back with all 3 of my kids and my Chihuahua.

5 /5 Jessica Jackson: Located behind Big Lots Shopping Center in Milton,FL. Just off Hwy. 90 and minuets from downtown Milton and Blackwater River, close to Pace and Bagdad. My kids love this place. Plenty of places to play and climb. There is a large walking area good for skating. Lots of shades seating for parents. Public bathrooms, two baseball fields, a soccer field, two large dog parks, lots of slides for all ages, handicap swings, baby swings and big kid swings, tunnels, a picnic shelter, and a decent amount of parking. The whole parks boundaries are fenced in.

4 /5 laura mustin: It was nice to be able to get my puppy out of the house for a bit while my grandson played on the playground. I like they have separate areas for big dogs and little dogs. My only complaint would be about the holes that were left unfilled. Putting a board over the hole just tells me you know its there, but took the easy and unsafe way to "correct" it. For the most part the area was clean and I appreciate the water station.The puppies enjoyed running around and checking out the other puppies. To the lady with the huge rot/pit mix. You have zero control over our dog. He probably outweighs you by 20 lbs. Please, work on some basic commands before putting him in a situation where he will likely fail. Wrapping his leash halfway up your arm will only get your arm ripped off when he decides to take off or go after a small dog. If I had to tell you one more time NOT to open that gate as I was trying to leave with my 2 small dogs as your big one was trying desperately to get to them, we were gonna have some major problems lady. If you cant teach him some manners, petsmart has an awesome trainer, please take him to a few classes. Id hate to see such a beautiful animal punished for his owners lack of knowledge.

Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park - Milton

Candela_ Miami: Not much to do here, except see carnivorous plants, which bloom only in the spring. We visited late December and didnt see any. Theres an unmarked gravel parking lot. Theres a very small trail that takes you to a small lake, and thats it. No hiking trails, or picnic tables, or bathrooms. Call Blackwater River for more information or to get the passport stamp.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota - Sarasota

Alise L: Love this place! Ive been twice and experienced 2 uniquely interesting exhibits. The current George Harrison exhibit was very informative and enjoyable. The constant gardens themselves are lovely and well cared for. A feast for the eyes and soul. We ate at the cafe this time and were quite impressed. Herbs and vegetables are grown right there on the roof. Cant wait to go back again!

Nick Luft: The history of the place is one thing and is definitely worth listening to the audio tour. But the craftsmanship of the building, in and out along with the furniture and everything else. Just wow. The view of the water is absolutely astonishing too. Was sad only the first floor was open due to restorations. However, it just gives us an even better reason to come back in the future! And we plan to!

Sarasota Jungle Gardens - Sarasota

dubs4life7: Absolutely amazing. Pleasant rain forest vibe. All the creatures were amazing. Feeding the flamingos fulfilled my wifes life long dream! Staff was pleasant and professional. The animals are well cared for. The park was clean and beautiful. On a Monday afternoon the first week of summer break it wasnt too busy at all. We cant wait to go back!

Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium - Sarasota

Rebeca Morrison: I’m very happy to know they are moving to newer and nicer / larger building soon! This will be amazing for them since you always have to walk to the building across the street. People are so friendly and so nice, we Love the people working and volunteering here! There was an older gentleman who took the time to explain to us how their giant squid ( found dead and now being preserved ) came to the facility. He was an amazing story telling and so knowledgeable about these creatures! We can’t wait to come back but now to the new facilities!

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art - Sarasota

Martens Alex (Alex): I was recommended to check this place out and it was well worth it! I’m not a huge fan of the circus but learning about the size, logistics and training was really cool. The circus replica by far was the coolest part of the circus part of the museum. The Ca’ d’Zan was beautiful. It is an extra $15 to see it which is a bummer. It’s currently being saved from the hurricane so a lot of machines are hooked up to prevent mold growth. I personally think since you can’t view the second floor it shouldn’t be full price. Or at least a warning saying it’s not fully open. It only took 20-25 mins to do the inside and that’s because I did the audio tour. Most went quicker. Lastly the art museum was great. All together it took me about 4 - 4.5 hours to do everything. I would recommend going earlier in the morning as it starts to get busier.

Bayfront Park - Sarasota

There are plenty of benches, picnic spots, and even a great playground for kids. The marina and nearby restaurants add to the charm. I always leave feeling refreshed. Highly recommended!

The Bay -

Aimee Fortner: I’m a little puzzled about why such a large board with corporate ties with conglomerates with not great track records is left in charge of this and how these deals are made that leave the taxpayer holding the bag with little transparency. *Note - See public private partnership history: “While they are supposed to save money, P3s often cost more in the long run and are host to poor working conditions and accountability issues. And in the end, it is us, the public, who foots the bill” These board members are linked to companies that have had histories of using child labor from other countries and here in the US. Time will tell if they are really acting in integrity and good faith of the whole community or if they are just using regular people as their piggy banks for developments. If you look at the current Federal administration and follow the NJ casino history of debt problems, I’m not so sure this will turn out to be a good deal for Sarasota as it appears a similar pattern is being followed. I see a lot of luxury development going on, but not much that addresses the growing wealth gap worldwide as so called “masters” are busy planning communities.

North Lido Beach - Sarasota

Adrianne Kearns: The beach was beautiful and not super crowded. Parking was tough and its a bit of a walk to the beach where its less people but it was so worth it!

The Sarasota Childrens Garden - Sarasota

S G: My little one had fun walking around to see all of the different areas in the garden, my favorite parts was that a wagon was provided and dress up store for boys and girls! Uneven pathways, watch your step, my son took a little fall so if you have small ones just make sure they are aware of walking carefully since their feet are tiny and can get stuck in the cracks.
