5 /5 Christina M: So happy we got to come visit when the azaleas were blooming. We hiked the azalea trail, which is the more strenuous one. There were a lot of steps and the path was steep in some areas and very narrow. There are 2 suspension bridges. There are also easier walking paths and plenty of beautiful views.

4 /5 Misty Lizarralde: Definitely worth checking out! I did think the area would have more springs or water nearby, but the park was interesting. The Azalea trail is not ideal for small dogs, but the Ravine outer loop is a great alternative.

5 /5 Tonia Roeper: This place was very unique and interesting. It is about an hour from Daytona Beach and it is located in Palatka Florida. The trail around is a little under 2 miles on a paved drive and then down in the Ravine there are historical steps that can be a little tricky, but they also allow you to park and walk in on a easier path. There are a few suspension bridges as well as beautiful watering holes to look at. It’s shaded in most of the parts so it helped with the sun in the grounds are kept in pristine condition.

5 /5 Amanda M: Today was my second time at Ravine Gardens and it is gorgeous. If I lived closer I would go more often. When the azaleas are in bloom, it is practically magical. There are so many bright, beautiful colors all around. The hiking trails arent too bad. More "ups" and "downs" than average Florida trails that tend to be flat, and uneven stairs due to erosion. There is also a paved trail to drive around the perimeter of the ravine. It is $5 to park. There are bathrooms on site as well as a small vending machine. Dogs are allowed on leashes. There is a small playground for children.

5 /5 L Cardinal: Ravine Gardens State Park is beautiful. This deep ravine is not what you would expect to find in Florida. We walked down the paved section for a while and then ventured down a path into the ravine. It was quite steep and didn’t have a handrail. When we reached the bottom there was a spring and little streams flowing. The water was very clear and had white sand. We walked over one of the wooded suspension bridges. Dogs are permitted in the park so we saw several people walking their dogs. The park even provided doggie waste stations in several places. There were picnic tables throughout the area and even had a playground. Being February I thought it would be cooler. Next time I go I plan to wear a hat and sunglasses. A lot of the trail was shaded, but much of it was in full sun. The entrance fee was very reasonable at $5.00/car with up to 8 people or $2.00/person to walk in.

West Florida Railroad Museum - Milton L D: We have a train enthusiast in the family and this train museum didnt disappoint. As the parent of this train enthusiast I didnt so much enjoy the trains but the lovely history preserved here. I also enjoyed the folks manning the stations- their greetings were warm, their train knowledge unmatched, and their passion palpable. If youre in the area- definitely recommend.

Blackwater Heritage Trail State Park - Milton Paul: Great trail with visitors center and clean restrooms. Quite a few small road crossings but all safe.

Riverwalk South, Milton, FL. - Robert Olson: Milton has invested a lot to create something worth visiting. They have expanded it over the years, and it now has become something worth visiting on its own. It is a popular place for programs.

Carpenters Park - Milton michelle: Does the job wares my child out and they have very clean bathrooms considering its a park, compared to any other local park. The splash pad wasnt up but we turned the faucet on and it shot out across the grass, it was just as fun.

Zip Adventures - Milton Travis Reno: Tyler and Kat were amazing guides. They were friendly, talkative, ensured our safety, and made sure we understood what to do. They made the experience 100% better. The course was just the right length for a first timer like me and a different tour form past trips taken for my partner, who found it just as enjoyable as I did. We look forward to visiting again and hopefully camping and tubing, too

Optimist Park - Milton Jamie: Great place to take your kids to play. They have a fun playground and you can even bring your fur babies to play in their own fenced in play area. Big dogs have a separate area from the little dogs to help with accidents. It is nice to be able to go inside a gate and close it before opening whichever side is appropriate for your dog. They also have a soccer field and ball field. The only improvements I can think of is a water fountain and a larger parking lot. I would recommend!

Garcon Point Water Management Area - Milton Ruby Lewis: Many areas of the trail are only as wide as a dirt bike, the trail is not difficult but appears more like a path in most areas than an actual trail. One area was extremely swampy. As temperatures rise plan for bugs and snakes. On positive notes; incredible scenery, numerous hawks and waterfowl around. Parking is easily accessible.

Whiting Park - Milton Jon Hofius: Although exclusive to service members, Whiting park is a GEM worth rediscovering. With enough outdoor amenities to keep the whole family entertained, even Fido can dip their paws into the Blackwater river and cool down too! MWR does a nice job providing these places and hopefully our families will take full advantage…also, very easy access on weekdays too.

Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park - Milton Candela_ Miami: Not much to do here, except see carnivorous plants, which bloom only in the spring. We visited late December and didnt see any. Theres an unmarked gravel parking lot. Theres a very small trail that takes you to a small lake, and thats it. No hiking trails, or picnic tables, or bathrooms. Call Blackwater River for more information or to get the passport stamp.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota - Sarasota Alise L: Love this place! Ive been twice and experienced 2 uniquely interesting exhibits. The current George Harrison exhibit was very informative and enjoyable. The constant gardens themselves are lovely and well cared for. A feast for the eyes and soul. We ate at the cafe this time and were quite impressed. Herbs and vegetables are grown right there on the roof. Cant wait to go back again!
