5 /5 Mikey Smith: I have a 2016 VW GTI when my engine light first came on I took it to a different mechanic who said my engine was losing compression, quoted me $8K, and said my entire engine block needed to be replaced. I left that place as they were clearly full of crap and proceeded to drive it another 30k miles without issue. My car then began leaking oil, the vehicle had a recall anyway so I took it too the Volkswagen dealership to resolve the recall and asked them for a quote on fixing it while they were working on it. They proceeded to quote me $4.2k for all the work and said that it would take two weeks to complete. Having received sticker shock and hearing only good things about Royal Motors North I drove my car directly from the dealership to royal motors north for a quote. They quoted me just under $2K, then proceeded to get the job done in a few days! I dont recall exactly but they said the check engine light somebody tried charging me 8k for was just related to something about emissions. So if you dont want to deal with scammers or "stealerships" take your car here instead!
