2 /5 Bradford Richardson: We are in Ft. Meyers for the month. I was excited to see that this church had a pipe organ. (Im a career minister of music.) We attended and found a beautiful church. The people were not very friendly. No one welcomed us. After the service I walked up to the music director and told him it was enjoyable. He barely acknowledged me, didnt ask my name, didnt smile. I introduced myself and tried to be friendly and start a conversation but he wasnt having it. If I had been a person looking for Jesus, or for a church home I would have kept going. Its unfortunate that we have churches the profess to know the love and joy of God, sing about it, talk about it and read about it. But when it comes to gatherings, a lot of our churches are like exclusive clubs. This church felt like that. It makes me sad (and angry) and Im sure it grieves the heart of God.
