San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park - St Marks (FL)

3 /5 Sheryll Waite: Small but nice museum with information on the different forts and countries that occupied this land since the late 1500s. Walking trail around the property to tell the story of some of what existed there.

4 /5 Noah Von Dauber: Well kept park with a ton of history. The only problem I encountered is that the main gate was locked and the visitors center was shut down, despite the sign saying they were open. (I arrived at 4:10 pm, and the sign, as well as Google, said that the park was open until 5:00 pm.) However, a smaller gate about 100 feet to the left of the main gate was open. I was there for roughly 40 minutes, and I had 30 of those minutes entirely to myself.

4 /5 Coco Bijan: Love this place. Its full of History. Went on a fantastic Saturday afternoon. My only issue is that the self-guided tour is not clear. The map needs to be redone and the needs to be markers are all the stops along the trail

5 /5 RV Traveler: Interesting small museum and old fort. Well worth doing the short walk around the ruins. The storyboards were well done. The museum has a short movie which you need to watch for sure. The museum volunteers were very friendly and offered an oral history of this fort. If you are nearby. Stop and check it out

5 /5 Mickey Ramsey: Historic Jewel, nice displays. Has a movie theater that tells of the history of the Fort. Museum Hosts were very helpful, and told vivid stories that brought the past to life. Grounds were very well kept.
