Fyefenix C: My finance recently had a hospital stay at this hospital and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue was a severe lack of communication between doctors, nurses, and staff, which led to confusion and frustration throughout my stay. One major concern was that the nursing staff did not have access to records of medications that were administered in the emergency room. This raised serious concerns about proper dosage and continuity of care. When I sought clarification, I was met with inconsistent responses and an overall lack of accountability. Additionally, when I requested a patient advocate or a way to escalate my concerns, I was told that no such advocate existed, and that my only option was to speak with the nurse manager. This is unacceptable, as patients should have access to a neutral party to address grievances and ensure proper care. When I attempted to express my concerns in a firm but non-threatening manner due to the ongoing communication failures, hospital staff responded by calling security. From that point forward, my stay was tagged, which made an already frustrating experience even worse. To make matters worse, security personnel also refused to provide information regarding a patient advocate. It is also disappointing that after reading the current and past reviews it appears that St. Vincent will only engage with positive reviews while ignoring or failing to address legitimate concerns from patients and their family who have had negative experiences. A hospital should be a place where patients feel heard, respected, and cared for, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope hospital leadership takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements rather than dismissing valid criticism.
Richard L. Wright, MD, RPVI - Lake City
Justin Z: DROPPED ME AS A PATIENT. Been a patient here for maybe approx 10 years or so and i go here a few times a year(as needed). When I called in they couldnt find me in computer and I was just there 1 day ago. They ended up saying you are innactive. And said a letter should of been sent out. Sadly they sent me a letter a few days later canceling me as a patient. The mail postcard date was after I called. They lied.... Also NO Reason or explanation, or anything in the letter. Very disappointing and unprofessional. So one has to question Dr. Wrights integrity and values. Was always a self pay and paid in full at time of visit every time. No questions asked. Sadly enough I have a lot of underlying medical issues and have to find a doctor promptly in the event I get sick, or need my yearly prescriptions, ect. Disappointed majory with the professionalism and they really let me down whole heartedly. Guess they only want "cream of the crop" patients. Or must only want the patients with the best insurances and premiums. Have been nothing but nice, polite and courteous to everyone here. Definitely didnt get the same back. Stay away, find someone more Profesional with a better follow thru. Very honest review.

Addison Animal Hospital - Lake City
Michael Davidson: My family and I have been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. Addison for over 20 years. At first, it was for convenience as I live less than a mile from Addison Animal Hospital. (I believe they are called Compassion Animal Hospital now, dont quote.me on the exact name, but they answer their phones differently and Ive noticed some new staff and I overheard them mentioning the change.) Dr. Addison and his team have saved more than a few of my dogs and cats from various situations, snake bites, animal attacks, random illnesses, etc. Most recently, we had a two year old cat, Casper, go missing for almost two weeks. He finally returned home but had been bitten by something very large on his haunch/tail area, he was very thin, and I didnt think he was going to make it. We took him to Dr. Addison, and even with a parking lot full of patients, and quite a few walk-ins (which I was as well) yet somehow they still took care of us quite quickly and the entire time the staff was courteous and polite. The woman at the front desk was answering phone calls, checking in patients, coordinating with her techs and the Veterinarian, and the entire time she was so friendly and courteous. I believe her name was "Sam." Simply awesome. She made my Mom feel better after we dropped Casper off and when we came to pick him up that afternoon just from her demeanor, professionalism, empathy, and, compassion. She was like an air traffic controller, a quarterback, and a psychologist in one. The tech we talked to was also super polite and kind. Dr. Addison came out to talk to us before and after, and he was very informative on the after care of my pet and when we went to leave a tech followed up and made sure we understood the instructions. Casper is at home recuperating and is doing well. I could tell a half dozen more stories from when Zoie poked herself on a barbed wire fence, or when Loki got hit by a car, or when the dog attacked Rocko, each and every time Addison was there for me and my pets. I could never thank him enough for all the care he has given our animals. (Deborah and Kim say thank you as well!!!)
