2 /5 Kitty Evans: I showed up there a couple of Sundays ago and was very warmly greeted. I had hoped more people would have gone to coffee hour after church but it may have just been that I was at the early service. Just like the rest of the Episcopal churches in the area, I really had to dig to find out information on when services were held and get an online feel for the community. That said, I think I have found my new church home when I relocate to the area later this year.
ADDED - Although things started well I never felt fully accepted. After a year of trying to become engaged in the life and work of the parish, I realized that maybe it wasnt going to be my "home" after all. I was going through some of the roughest times of my life. I needed to serve in order to heal but it seemed I was expected to heal before being "allowed" to serve. When the time came to move on, I had to deal with a guilt-trip and personal betrayal. On the plus side, I still have some wonderful friends from there. I am much more active, happier and spiritually healthy where I am now. My gifts and talents are appreciated and utilized, It is truly well with my soul.
