5 /5 Sheila Veenstra: Are you looking for a solid foundation? I have been to great churches in my life. In 4 states and several in one Canadian province. From Anglican, to Baptist, Calvert Chapel, Catholic a free times and Orthodox for 6 months.
I have never met a pastor/priest as well educated or knowledgeable about everything scripture, theology and church history as the pastor of this church, theology Very Right Reverend Dr. John Michael Strachan. (Or Pastor Mike as I call him, or Fr. Michael as he also gets called). He is humble, and yet very wise (which must be a gifting because he is young in his 40’s!). If you want to pitch in and use your gifts, you are welcome to do that here! St. Dunstan’s does not have the red tape that can stifle people’s participation in the church. The community is very lovely. Come and visit this church. If it’s not “a good fit”, how can you help it grow to include you?
If you want to learn and worship in a way that is unapologetically truthful to scripture and not ignoring the Christian’s who have gone before us, not forgetting their wisdom, then THIS is the place for you. (Not a church that is re-inventing the wheel based on its own pastors limited understanding of scripture. PHEW!)
