1 /5 Brittany: My son has gone to St. Josephs Episcopal School since he was 2 years old. His classmates, parents teachers and staff have become family to us. St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church has decided to not renew the school’s lease after 64+ years which is devastating to our family, friends, staff, the community but most importantly the 174+ children. The worst part is that they will not tell us why they would make this unchristian decision that hurts so many people. I can only pray that the church members ask why. Why would we push all the children away from God? Why would we not nurture these children and help shape them into productive members of society? I have sent letters out to Father Marty and the Vestry without one response. “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Matthew 19:14 I can only pray the Church has a change of heart and starts practicing what they preach to their people.
