1 /5 David Stuckey: I came to this church looking for peace and a connection with God, but was met with judgment instead. During the Eucharist, I didn’t say “Amen” because I didn’t know I was supposed to — and the priest responded with rudeness instead of compassion.
A church should welcome those who are learning, not shame them. Jesus met people with love, not harshness. If this is how newcomers are treated, it pushes people away from faith — not toward it.
I hope this church remembers that grace, not pride, should lead every interaction in the house of God.
