5 /5 Miled Nakhel: Sunken Gardens is a gorgeous, peaceful escape right in the heart of Tampa. The lush gardens, vibrant flowers, and tropical plants make it a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll. The pathways are well-maintained, and there are plenty of shady spots to take in the beauty. It’s also a great place to spot wildlife, with flamingos and other exotic birds adding to the charm. While admission is a bit pricey, the experience is well worth it for the serene atmosphere and stunning scenery. If you love nature and want a quiet break from the city, this is a must-visit!

5 /5 Lizzy Rempel: If you love plants you need to go here!! Some many great things to see. All the plants look good and healthy. I would definitely recommend spending at least an hour here. We were a little disappointed that the birds were put away while we were there, but that didn’t hinder our experience too much. We also found a 2 for one coupon in a pamphlet at our hotel so if you’re visiting see if you can find that. So many paths to walk down to explore plants I wouldn’t normally see back at home. The staff were super friendly and everything was very accessible. There is also a parking lot out in front that is free.

5 /5 Frank Whitesell: A peaceful walk to learn and enjoy the flora. What a great variety of plants from so many global locations all in one place. Lots of shade along mostly concrete paths make it accessible to most people. We werent at peak flowering season but we had a lot of blooms still to choose from.

5 /5 Kay-Kay M.: Beautiful botanical gardens. The layout is kind of confusing. Theres a lot of paths that lead you in different directions, so its very easy to miss something. Admission is $15, but if you stop at the St. Pete visitors center, you can get a buy 1 get 1 free coupon. Its in one of the travel guide booklets. Plenty of free parking.

5 /5 Vanessa Rodriguez: Who knew lizards had it so good? The Sunken Gardens is basically a 4-star jungle resort for them—and I was just a lucky guest in their lush little paradise. Birds were singing, bees were buzzing like tiny drunk fairies, and the plants? Oh, thriving. From towering palms to Dr. Seuss-looking blooms, everything felt alive and a little bit magical. I half-expected a talking toucan to offer me a smoothie. Whether youre a nature nerd, a plant paparazzi, or just need a break from reality, this place will have you wide-eyed, smiling, and wondering if you should give up your job and become a full-time lizard. 10/10—bring water, good vibes, and a deep appreciation for chlorophyll.
