Main Beach Park - Fernandina Beach Robin Buckley-Baird: Very relaxing! Clean, friendly people. Nice walking paths (boards). Lots of dogs. Much different than what Im used to. I wouldnt walk barefoot in that rough sand. I wonder if some bad owners dont pick up their dogs poop?
Peters Point Beachfront Park - Fernandina Beach Robert Builder: Very beautiful beach filled with an amazing cast of characters. A teenage girl eating sand and screaming like a dog. An older gentleman, very hard to understand telling a story that was incomprehensible. Also the usual hot girls and beach boys.
Fort Clinch State Park - Fernandina Beach Linda P: We accessed the park on a rented “ arcimoto” electric 3 wheel vehicle . I highly recommend seeing the park this way or on a bike to get immersed. Facts about the park can be found on the website. I want to add some directions to navigating the park instead. There are basically two places to see if visiting for an hour or two. The fort and the beach. See the photos to orient. First sign you come to is clearly marked beach to the right - you could spend an hour or a day there! Straight ahead is the fort. We did take at least an hour to tour. The video and small museum are informative. The fort property is interesting and well staged. Just to see the tree canopy and Spanish moss was interesting. Side turn offs are separate camping areas etc. Check out the park map!
A.L. Lewis Museum at American Beach - Fernandina Beach Sharon Seago: This was a very interesting small museum explaining the history of American Beach. The museum has a video and tablets with a couple of short oral history segments as well as exhibits. They will be celebrating an anniversary February 1, 2025! The Director and volunteer were welcoming and helpful in answering questions.Admission was $8 for seniors and $10 for adults.
Fountain - Fernandina Beach MiniThanos834 (Mr. T): Really cool fountain, and has a good view of the street incase of a car parade or show, very cool scenery.
Old Town Fernandina Beach, FL - Michael J Mintzer: Old Town Fernandina Beach, FL, is a 20 minute drive from the Omni resort on Amelia Island. It has an array of highly rated restaurants (see my Cafe Karibo review), the harbor for boat rides, shops for browsing, and the all important ice cream shops. It is a beautiful stroll, especially after dark when the street lights are on and the buildings are lit. Most places seem to close by 9 p.m. parking is free in nearby lots a block off Centre Street (A1A). Relaxing and enjoyable.
Egans Creek Park - Fernandina Beach Kelli Schulte: Parking can be a bit tough on a busy day, but this park was great! There are workout equipment along the trail that are body weight. Turf under the climbing equipment and very clean overall. A nice place to put in at the docks for your kayaks.
Amelia River Cruises & Charters - Fernandina Beach Lynn M: We had an amazing time on the Cumberland Island tour with Amelia Island Cruises & Charters! The captain and crew were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area’s rich history, but also had us laughing the whole way—such a fun and engaging team. They did a great job pointing out local wildlife, and we were lucky enough to see dolphins, a stingray, and even wild horses on the island. The boat ride was smooth and relaxing, making it easy to soak in the scenery. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Central Park - Fernandina Beach Tammy Manzy- Stewart: Beautiful park! We went for a festival. The parking was right across the street. They had cops to help us cross safely. Lots of room, nice people. Beautiful grass. It was so hot though and we only stayed for a little while. I wish there was more tree coverage but what can you do?
Amelia Island Tasting Tours - Fernandina Beach Luis Baez: This is a great experience of old history with our tour guide. The mix-drink were great! Highly recommend this tour if you are in Fernandina Beach.
