Review for Lilly Pulitzer – 600 Front Street, Key West
I visited this store on Sunday with my husband and daughter, and from the moment we walked in, the associates looked at us with suspicion and said nothing—not even a simple “hello.” They just stared and kept glancing at each other as if we didn’t belong there. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I still made a purchase that day.
I returned the next day by myself to exchange one of the pieces that didn’t fit, and the experience was even worse. The associate I approached was dismissive and completely ignored me. When I asked another associate for a fitting room, she just pointed and said, “Whatever is empty, you can use.” When I went to make my exchange, I was met with a cold attitude and the first question was, “You do have a receipt, I assume?” — delivered with a look of disapproval.
I shop frequently at the Fort Lauderdale Lilly Pulitzer, which is my home store, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. The staff there are always warm, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, the Key West location made me feel unwelcome and judged from the moment I walked in.
Lilly Pulitzer is known for its cheerful brand and friendly atmosphere, but this store’s staff did not reflect that at all. I left feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. I truly hope management takes notice and addresses the lack of basic courtesy and respect shown to customers.
