1 /5 Kristine: I used to be a Macys shopper, even after they went from Burdines to Macys. I stopped in the Melbourne, FL store last week. NOT ONE ASSOCIATE APPROACHED ME - NOT ONE. They were there but not asking me if they could help me - like set my armloads of garments in a dressing room. So I struggle down te isle looking for a dressing room. There stands an associate in the womens department not doing anything. I asked wheres the dressing room and she POINTED to one right behind her.. I almost dropped everything in my arms and walked away. I ended up with 3 garments I wanted to purchase. I walked the store to find the first associate that said hello and gave the nice gentleman in jewelry my sale. During the sale an associate with a microphone stepped into the counter area as I was explaining what happened. She looked at me with her mouth hanging open and never said a word. I had passed 3 other associates that ignored me - I believe working with display. UNREAL - I went to Kohls once and Ill never be back. There is NO ONE to wait on you - at all. Macys has worked there way to an equivalent of walmart. Junk - stuffed in racks and associates just standing behind the checkout counters twiddle their thumbs. If stores want to continue to stay open they must provide customer service. I have ordered from Macys online and they are the worst - from shopping to paying (extra charges) to shipping to returns. Macys need to shut down in Melbourne. Save the money for the stockholders.
