1 /5 Mary Risley: I was looking forward to making a donation of quality items to support a great mission. I found out that what Solutions Thrift Store really needs is a donation of a big box of gratitude, appreciation, and acknowledgement of donations from people who may drive a distance to donate. I suggest that anyone who wants to donate, just "dump and run". Do not expect the woman at the dock to say hello or thank you. Expect her to just grab your items while you lay them down. No need for her to even look at you when she grabs items out of your hands. Do not expect the old man at the counter to do anything about the rudeness. He thinks explaining that she is busy 3 times is the same as apologizing 3 times. Why anyone donates to this place is puzzling. One can just dump things at Goodwill if all they want to do is get rid of things. Sometimes people part with possessions and want to feel good by donating to a meaningful charity. After speaking to the nasty old man at the counter, i was able to retrieve 3 of my items that were still on the dock, while the unfriendly woman was grabbing up anothers donation. I will stick to donating to animal support thrift stores that have warm, kind, friendly, appreciative. and loving staff and volunteers.

5 /5 floral: This has recently been my go-to thrift store. There are always good finds, and isnt too overwhelming and overpriced compared to larger chain thrift shops. I am most particularly pleased that my money contributes towards an important cause. I only wish the hours were longer, but the kind and hardworking employees deserve their rest. Please stop by and make a purchase if you can!

4 /5 ¡ !: As far as thrift stores go... I liked it very much. Things were well organized: dishware; glassware; holiday items; books; games; clothing by sections; shoes; sport items; kitchen gadgets; hobby and crafts; movies and records; furniture; jewlery ... and more. The store was very clean and unlike many thrift shops it did NOT have a musty smell or that "old clothing" smell. Also unlike many stores of this type in Florida the air conditioning here was running and running well. The store was nice and cool which is always pleasant when the feels like temperature outside is 105° in October I found most of the items to be reasonably priced. Picked up a stackable set of 6 oversized decorative Christmas mugs for $6 and a card game for $1. A few things seemed marked a little high but not overly so. There are deals to be found here for sure

1 /5 Hilda Hynes: I have been shopping at this location for 20 plus years. In the past two years I stop in every two weeks on average. This past Saturday the store had its monthly 50% off sale, something my mother and I really look forward to. We are fully aware of the stores policy and absolutely adore the man behind the counter with long hair. We look forward to seeing him. This weekend I had two buggies full and was checking out. A woman who I have never seen working here before was helping what seemed to be a new employee ring me up. I was slowly loading the counter with my items trying to move the process along but not overwhelm the man at the counter. The woman helping seemed to question every item I placed on the counter. First was a scarf which came from the bins in front of the dressing room. Most those items are not tagged. She gave it to me for a dollar. Next, was a clutch from the same bins also not tagged She rang it up. Third was a two piece costume which I intended to repurpose. The set was not on a hanger as another assistant had already come by and help me remove the hangers to save time at the counter. Both pieces where not tagged but she rang them up. Fourth was a nightgown and robe set which clearly were a match. One was tagged and one was not. The man rang it up, the woman insisted he remove it as the set was not tagged individually and store policy is only to sell tagged items. She stated she was too busy to check the price even though the night set was clearly a set and the man had already rang it up. My purchase would have been at least 100 or more dollars and I spend on average about 300 a month at this location. Have for years. I myself am a survivor of a horrific domestic violence attack and take great pride in supporting a store which aids domestic violence victims. The woman seemed to be having a bad day and I had noticed earlier that she seemed to bring a negative charge to the atmosphere behind the counter. When I protested the denial of sale stating the item was infact tagged I was met with such hostility I was dumbfounded. The man with long hair who I adore began to recite the store policy but as he looked up and saw it was me and my mother, I watched as his face fell and he realized they had just deeply offended a loyal customer. I simply walked out leaving behind all my purchases unwilling to argue over the price of free donated items with a woman clearly not looking for resolution but control and who was obviously was not having a good day. Note: I would have paid full price for both pieces had anyone even offered. My heart was broken as I left. I lost a good friend. Both the store, and the man who I look forward to seeing every two weeks. I will never return. She ruined the experience. Im not sure why anyone would spend and hour shopping and standing in a crowded line only to have the thrift nazi decide what you can and cannot buy. I have in the past found untagged items and opted to not place them in my cart as I am fully aware of store policy but she decided to pick and choose what properly and improperly tagged items I took home. Scarves and clutches are almost never tagged and I have never purchased a set of anything from here that was double tagged. Her behavior was irrational and honestly presented like someone decided to promote karen to behind the counter. I would never tell anyone not to shop here. The resources this location provide to the community are vital. That said, dont waste your time going through every rack and standing in line if the meanie behind the counter is on a war path. It just isnt worth the time. Speaking directly to the woman whose name Ive intentionally left out of this review. I spent the day after leaving praying for you. You clearly were not at your best and while I doubt I will ever receive an apology I do forgive you for dropping your negativity on me and spoiling what has been a 20 plus years long love affair with this thrift shop.
