1 /5 Estella Arias: I bought a pearl necklace at this boutique. I was inspired by the story of the 10-year-old girl who made it. When I bought it, the owner said that if there was any problem with the necklace, the young girl would fix it. I left content with my new purchase. A week later the necklace broke. I passed by the shop during business hours but it was closed. I went to an architectural shop next door to inquire and they said that the shop was closed that day. I dont remember why. I then called many times and it always went to voicemail. I then emailed the shop. No reply. So I decided to mail the necklace and enclosed a cover letter explaining the above, asking if the young girl could repair it.
Over a month passed and I never heard from the shop. I called and sent an email again, to no avail. When I finally was able to reach the owner, she said she never received the necklace and asked me for a receipt from the post office. I looked for the receipt and couldnt find it. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of it . Nevertheless, the owner said she would get back to me the following day with a resolution, as she found the receipt of my purchase. A couple of months passed and I never heard back from her.
The return policy on the website says that one must obtain a return authorization in order to return the merchandise. It is impossible to obtain an authorization as no one answers the phone and it takes weeks, if not months to receive a reply via email.
To summarize, I spent approximately $90 on a necklace that broke a week later and despite what I was told when I purchased the necklace (i.e. if you have a problem with it, return it and I will replace it), there has been no follow-through. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
