Mercado Steffan Gorgeous campus. However unless your a freshman living in sovi there are pretty much no offered benefits. The school puts more budget into incoming freshman than all the rest of your years combined. The teachers in physics and science dept. are impossibly hard. Can’t get a lot of the classes to graduate in 4 years. Most people here aren’t super friendly and it’s hard to make long term friends unless in a sorority/frat. The staff are mostly lazy and rude. Most everything that has hours opens 30mins late and closes an hour before closing time. There are so many pools and a lake but you can’t use any of these if there is any sort of inclimate weather or between 12-5pm. West lake is the best for living aka least dumb rules.

Sean Scanlon Beautiful campus tucked in the middle of Ft. Meyers Florida! Up and coming D1 school! Dorms are new, modern, secure, and convenient! Wish my daughter started her academic life here but glad she had the high g.p.a to be accepted and get housing as a transfer student! She thriving at FGCU!

Sarah A Im thankful we have a local college that continues to make itself better with each year. Im receiving my AA in 3 credits and I have nothing but outstanding things to say about this school. My advisor has always been incredibly attentive to my needs, even down to offering book recommendations within my future major. I never feel rushed or unwanted. Not all professors or experiences will be great for everyone; however, Im thankful to say all of mine have. The campus is also quiet and beautiful to hang around.

Mare Hernandez Am I the only one having issues with this school? I recently moved to the area and have been trying to go back to school, but this has been the most frustrating experience Ive ever had. I’ve tried calling, messaging, and visiting in person—and every time has been difficult. The last time I went in person to speak with an advisor, I was treated very rudely. The staff member cut me off and told me I was “done” and could leave. I later found out—only because I called three weeks later—that there was an issue with my transcripts, even though I had handed them in personally. Every time I call, I get a different answer depending on who I talk to. It took two to three months just to receive my acceptance letter. Now that I thought I could finally move forward, I’ve learned there are still more steps before I can even meet with an advisor. I’ve attended two other colleges in different states due to moving, and I’ve never had an experience this disorganized and stressful. I hope they improve their communication and student support because this process has been exhausting.

Jessica Vickery It was a little nerve wrecking to get back into school after being out for so long but I had great help and support from Kiahna Lee. She has really been there for me throughout this journey and she hasn’t stopped at admissions. She is very responsive and also calls me back when I have a question about something. If she doesn’t know the answer she will go out of her way to find out the answer. I look forward to continuing this journey and I know with her by my side and all the support I’ve received from Rasmussen I know I will prevail. Thank you all so much for all the help.

Danielle Russell Meet some really great teachers and had a great financial advisor. Just graduated with my masters there. The key to success is making sure to communicate with the teachers. Only downfall is finding own preceptors for clinicals.

Tyler Tanner Where should I begin? I had gone to many schools within my journey of becoming a nurse and have to say that this school(with the exception of one individual) has exceeded my expectations. I found that many of the staff(with the exception of one individual) were very attentive of the students willingness to learn. The clinical sites chosen for our rotations were top notch and all of the instructors(with the exception of one individual) really made the clinical experience seem like a flawless progression towards actual nursing. To anyone who is on the fence about which school to attend to pursue a nursing career, I highly suggest this one. HOWEVER, just as with all good things there will always be some bit of negativity. By any and all means stay clear of instructor Mena. Neither I or any of the others of my cohort have had a good experience with him. On one occasion I said "Hello" and acknowledged him by his first name in a setting outside of the classroom and was rudely reminded that I needed to call him professor. Keep in mind, he is not a professor, only an instructor. This happened on more than one occasion with him talking down to many of us who are even older than he is. Aside from this particular person, 10/10 for this school.

Shawn This school went by so fast, and I learned so much! The program was decent. Half of the clinical sites were exceptional, and half were somewhat slow. Every single staff member (with the exception of one) that was a part of my educational journey was great! They listened to us and talked with us one on one like a good mentor should. The professors were very approachable and down to earth! Director McNealy was AWESOME and funny! Professor Parker, Geyer, Schimper, Menager and every clinical professor was really nice 10/10 for them! The only one (eluded to earlier) was a guy named "instructor Will", this guy had an extreme power complex from day one! He made it known that if you commit any error regardless of how small by way of accident or honest ignorance, he would gladly attempt to get you removed from the program. He was abhorred unanimously by my cohort and reported by multiple students from multiple classes about his unprofessionalism. I hope he can stop acting hostile without cause in the future to other students. If new students can avoid him, you will do just fine at this school! Good luck!

Camille Smallwood I have been at Hodges for two years now. Every time I hear about another school, I always compare my experience to Hodges. This has led me to believe that there are no other schools that I would be as happy with. The professors I have had actually WANT me to succeed and will do what they can to help us as students to develop and learn. Im grateful for Hodges and their staff for always doing what they can to cheer me on in my education.

Ashlyn Young I would highly recommend choosing this school if you have a busy and tough schedule where in-person schooling is impossible to attend. I loved how my classes for my AS degree were all a month long unlike regular college where most classes are 3-4 months long. The instructors are very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind and respond pretty quick to emails/text messages. I work a tough schedule and have a very busy life so doing online school was definitely the right choice for me.

John Ham I recently finished an online class at Braxton College and it was perfect. The courses were clear and up to date. The instructor was knowledgeable and very helpful. The online platform was easy to use, and I could access everything I needed without any problems. The program was flexible, fitting well with my work schedule. The skills and knowledge I gained have already helped me in my job. I highly recommend Braxton College online classes for our schedule.

Crystal Larson Was in the parking lot with my dog waiting for a friend I havent seen in years. It was hot and I decided I would let my dog outside to get some fresh air. Director of the school came up to me in his car and told me I was trespassing. Never asked me what I was doing, if I was there for someone or anything. I asked him what I was doing wrong and he told me I needed to go back to the hotel. IM NOT STAYING AT THE HOTEL! YOU JUDGED ME AND TALKED DOWN TO ME LIKE I WAS NOTHING. If this is the director, I cant imagine how the rest of the staff is and judging from the reviews this is normal behavior for this place.

Nancy Mena In regards to the previous comment, I beg to differ. My son who is of Spanish descent is a student in the nursing program at Nova Southeastern University in the Fort Myers campus. The program is strenuous, time consuming and will beat you senseless. In my opinion, it is an excellent program which I am thrilled to pay the extra costs with no complaints. In addition to the GPA requirement to be accepted in the program the student must be well rounded in many aspects. I can write a ten page essay on how wonderful and happy I am about the program, staff and my son’s progress at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Myers campus. I highly recommend it.

Anna Kaul This place is such a breeding ground for roaches youd think they were the primary residents of this dorm. Everywhere you look, ROACHES. Theres even roaches in the STOVE CLOCK in the common room. Making people pay that much money just to potentially catch a disease from all the roaches is ASININE. Dont forget about the potential illness from all the MOLD as well. I think it would be a better deal to live on the streets for free than to pay to live in this dumpster of a dorm.

Bailey B. Love living here. The security guards and faculty are sweet. There is always something going on to keep you involved with the school and the rooms are nice compared to many dorm rooms. I recommend this to anyone!

Alvejahna Smalls I had a horrible experience in these dorms , roaches everywhere, and a room had a strong cannabis smell that led to make three students sick and led to them missing classes that were going on , so overall I give this experience a bad rating.
