Paul DeBoer This is an awesome public School. The curriculum is great . The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The dorms and class rooms are nice and clean. Opportunity for improvement is improve the dorm meeting situation. Tiamiami Hall has kitchens but no cafeteria. My son is a junior transfer and was able to stay at Tiamiami hall. It is an absolutely beautiful dormatory. Unfortunately for his senior year, they have been told that they will not be able to stay at this nice dorm. They are offering dorm to new only. Its a bit disappointing.

Mr. Travel Fox Impressive institution. Amongst the top ranked in Florida and currently top 4 in the nation amongst public institutions ( according to the WSJ). Walking around and talking to students and faculty they really focus on rewarding the right behavior, like price reductions for volunteer work, getting a first aid certifications , etc. Lots of art around the campus. Lots of activities and thought out support programs - the likes I have not seen anywhere else.

IAA North Campus feels like the forgotten stepchild of the college. It’s the most isolated location, and if your major is here, good luck battling Miami traffic to get to a place with the least to offer. The architecture is cold and oppressive—it used to be a military complex, which explains the vibe. Compared to campuses like Kendall, which feel lively and colorful, North is just grey, bleak, and dead. Student life is basically nonexistent. The only greenery is around the lake; the rest is just concrete. Bathrooms are disgusting—roaches, awful smells, and zero upkeep. One men’s room has had a sink ripped out for over a year and nothing’s been done. A friend had to hide in a stall once because someone came in screaming for five straight minutes. You’ll see homeless people or others regularly using the gravel pits as bathrooms. One guy even presses his bare ass to the wall and takes a dump. It’s surreal. Meanwhile, the actual restrooms are so filthy they might be worse. Public safety is laughable. A 7-year-old once fell into a gravel pit, broke his arm and got a concussion. The officer arrived, looked directly at the family, then asked us “Where’s the kid?” before riding off on his Segway. My friend broke his spine falling down stairs, and the officer on scene refused to help until he signed a form—while he literally couldn’t move. You’ll sometimes see people tweaking out, arguing loudly, or harassing students. One guy, claiming to be a famous rapper, slapped a student’s coffee out of his hand just for looking at him, then tried to intimidate a staff member. Public safety showed up long after the fact, as usual. Building 1 is a bureaucratic maze. If your issue isn’t simple, you’ll get passed from office to office until you’re back where you started—unless you escalate to someone’s boss. One department spent weeks trying to get their A/C fixed and walls painted. Nothing happened until a high-up got mad and forced it through. Only then did workers come—visibly annoyed—to actually fix things. Bottom line: North Campus is a mess. And they wonder why enrollment’s dropping. If you can, go to a different campus for anything important—advising, bursar, registration—anywhere they actually care

Maria Martine Well let me tell you. It was amazing!!! I went to enroll in high risk driving. It’s a driving class due to some minor fender benders I’ve had. To make a long story short this is what I encountered. Miami-Dade North Campus was amazing. I met a gentleman by the name of Patrick he was a great man. He works there and is a custodian for the school. Personable and charming. Then I met the lady from the information desk. She was so sweet and always maintained a huge smile. She send me to the continuing education center and I met a kind lady and next to her desk was a young man equally as kind. They directed me to the 8th building (school of justice). She also offered to make a phone call to the building before walking over there as sometimes it was hard to get in touch with them. Very professional and kind. I met Hector he’s a security guard and he was informative and showed me to another office. This was the assessment center were I met Griselda. She took the time to call Allison. She is the secretary for the school of justice. Then I met BOB from vehicle of operations. He was so amazing. He gave me a bag of double baked pretzels in a ziplock bag. What a great gift. They were amazing. He was so charismatic. Alyson send me to the bursars for a payment. Her name is Irmina Diaz. Nice lady that told me to take the receipt back to Alyson for more instructions. As I was walking over I met Raul he was campus service. Hard worker and making those lawns look nice. He directed me back to the building as I took a wrong turn. Allison then came out again and gave me final instructions. I also met the teacher (RILEY) she’s the one in charge of training and education for aspiring law enforcement officers. You can really tell this lady takes her job seriously. She was down because she wanted them all to do great. What a sign of true professionalism in every field and service in this school. Not only The employees but also the students. Many blessings to all these teachers, students, faculties and staff of every level and every field.

Tiffany Budert-Waltz I went here to take my FL educator mathematics examinations. The facility was sparkling clean and the staff = very friendly. The beautiful thing about the Wolfson campus is that the Miami Mover runs through it. This means if you are a staff member or a student, you can hop on the mover and get around the downtown metropolitan area without a car! It’s a phenomenal resource for students to use, especially considering so many students come here from out of state! The community college experience is amazing in Miami because of the offerings the city has. Miami has tons of museums in downtown, Wynwood, and Miami Beach. If you catch the bus or trolley, you can even go to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens... thats like Versailles level stuff. The bus and trolley system are easy to figure out if you have a buddy to help you. Miami is a very friendly city!

I appreciate the extraordinary professionalism, communication, and efforts of Dr. Henry Fernandez, Dr. Alexander De Varona, Dr. Amarilys González, Dr David Trobajo, Dr Karen Perez and Dr. Anny Dione. I highly suggest this university and the DNP program specially. The professors described above are committed to helping graduates to become leaders amount the healthcare team. Students in this program are educated to use inventive and evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes, interpret research, and apply the findings to improve healthcare after graduation.

Stephani During the Maternity course, I had the opportunity to learn from Professor Yamisleidis García, and my experience was extremely positive. Her teaching style is clear, well-organized, and focused on student learning. She explains concepts in a simple and effective way, which makes it easier to understand complex topics covered in the course. One of the things I appreciate most about her is her willingness to help outside of class time. She is always available to answer questions, provide additional explanations, and offer practical tips that help us study and feel more prepared. Professor García creates a supportive and respectful learning environment that encourages student participation and active learning. Thanks to her approachable and student-centered approach, I was able to strengthen my knowledge in maternity nursing and feel more confident in my preparation as a future nurse.

Evelyn Rodriguez Ever since I enrolled into this school it has been nothing but a mess. If you arent on top of the departments THEY WILL NOT solve your issues. Yes, there are good professors who are dedicated to teaching you and guiding you in the right direction. The nursing program isnt too bad overall. However, the service departments SUCK, its like dealing with another MDC. The majority of the people Ive spoken to are either lost, have transferred me to the wrong departments, or beat around the bush and have misinformed me. In addition, they always preach about being all about their students and providing them the right resources but its been the complete opposite. What happened to practicing what you preach???. They take and take my money but cant even solve my issues properly. I have been patient, considerate and have followed instructions to the best of my abilities and yet nothing has been solved. It is so frustrating as a student when all you want to do is receive your education and graduate. Pick up your act MRU, do better for your students!

Daniela Casas If I could give zero stars to this university, I would. If you are a veteran or military student, please save yourself the headache and RUN. This place has given me too many white hairs. Starting off with the fact that they are MASSIVELY understaffed, expect not to hear from anyone in days, and if you go in person, expect to wait hours. They have no real VA office, and the person in charge of doing all the paperwork is unaware of how to do it. Forget about using your TA, as they do not comply with anything for you to be able to use it; the university does not even understand what this is. The university posted my VA payments months later; it was such a mess. I wish that I had never attended this institution. There is no assistance whatsoever, and the lack of support for anyone dealing with the VA and any other military benefits is absurd. Please attend somewhere else where you can easily get support when needed, and if you are a veteran/military person, please, for the love of God, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!

Nakita Gutierrez My experience with St. Thomas University has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The level of unprofessionalism and disorganization, especially regarding enrollment and program continuation, is unacceptable for any higher education institution. Despite numerous phone calls and voicemails left over several days, I received no response from the admissions or enrollment offices. For new or returning students trying to meet deadlines and get answers, this kind of silence creates unnecessary stress and confusion. Even more concerning is how poorly the university communicates expectations and criteria for continuing in their programs. Information is vague, inconsistent, and in some cases entirely missing. When students are investing time, money, and trust into their education, clear guidance is not just helpful -- its essential. I truly hope the administration addresses these issues, as this experience reflects a broader problem in how the university supports and communicates with its student body. Right now, it feels like students are being left in the dark at every turn.

Elizavet Bravo I successfully completed the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at Southeastern College (SEC). While the program was challenging, the professors and staff provided the necessary support and encouragement to help me succeed. From the president to Gloria at the reception desk, everyone at SECC is friendly and welcoming. The small class sizes and overall size of the school foster a sense of community, where the director knows each student by name. I developed lasting friendships with my classmates and feel confident that I acquired valuable knowledge and skills during my time at SEC.

Taneshia Blake I recently completed a AS in Medical Assisting this past October. No institution is without its flaws but SEC values improvement and student involvement. Most of the staff that I have interacted with during admissions and my study were very cheerful and eager to help solve any issues. During my last semester, I had some financial difficulties and was granted a small scholarship for which I am grateful, because I could then just focus on my studies. I had a great placement for my externship and now I’m confident that I’ll be well prepared to sit for my RMA certification exam. Thank you for the experience and Dr. Ana Calonge you’re the best Prof ever!! Wishing everyone all the best!!

evan king Seeing these reviews be incredibly polarized made me want to leave an honest review as a current student. First off, if you are not ready to pull all nighters, face criticism that may be super harsh, then this school is not for you. This is not a art school in the traditional sense, this is a school that prepares you for industry work. Theyre gonna lay down the hammer on you and build you up for the inevitable crunch you will receive. If you cant handle the curriculum, then you probably wont be able to handle that work in the future. A lot of the reviews from neurotypical people point out how hard this school was on them, so if you fit somewhere in that bubble then maybe consider a career change, or freelance. Now for the price of the school, if youre planning on going here you better not dream of wasting time and slacking off. If you take advantage of the opportunities here and study, build connections with students and faculty, volunteer, you will have an amazing experience. You will grow as an artist and you will be set up for a promising career. The staff knows what they are doing, obviously you arent guaranteed to have a lot of chemistry with them, but they all no doubt have years of experience in their fields. They are not bullies, they are here to help you get better, even if that means giving you the most harsh critique youve ever heard in your life (Me personally Ive only ever witnessed 1 - 3 people get really harsh feedback, so its not even a common occurrence) The school has an amazing career services team. They bring multiple people over a month to give talks, bring recruiters, host job fairs, give resume critiques, all for free, and are still accessible after graduation. My friend already got an internship as a sophomore at a huge company thanks to the schools connections. The cafeteria food is fine? Some days its pretty good, other days theyll have food that no one eats. Its the most average college cafeteria food ever. Now on the darker side, yeah the school is not great at all at handling student misconduct. They are currently being sued for sweeping heavy things under the rug and giving students a slap on the wrist. There are students who are still here who have done horrible things and the school keeps them here. Its a problem that they arent getting any better at. To top this all off, the school has a great growing campus, the faculty are great and know what theyre doing, if you put in the work, you are guaranteed to grow. There are a few places where the school falls flat, but overall if youre looking for a college experience where you can find good friends, get better at what you do, and want a promising career, then Ringling is probably a pretty good choice. Just please dont waste your money if you go here, a good 30 - 40% (ballpark estimate) of students in the year end up dropping out or transferring. Be prepared to consider if you can afford it and if you think youre capable of putting in the work. Otherwise, itll be a huge waste of money

Seym Ri If I could put a 0 stars I would definitely do it. This is the worst school ever with a such terrible service. I was in the nursing program and no one is willing to help or assist you for any type of procedure especially the NURSING department. They hang up on you or tell you they are too busy to help you. And if we don’t get things done on time it is considered our responsibility. There was also a day where I went to the department and the gentleman just shut the window while I was trying to explain my situation. Also, when some student comes to visit mdc to eventually join, We student have to sometimes to tell them about our experience at mdc, and the school person told us to say nice about mdc and don’t say bad things so they can join. Please Don’t waste your money here the medical campus is definitely the worst campus ever.

904 CZV What can I say: I love Barry. Even though I live way up here in Jax, I commuted down there for classes once a month. It was worth it to me. I’m in the PhD nursing program and I can say it really changed my life. Dr. Jessie Colin, who is also my chair, is the most intelligent and remarkable person I have ever met. The 5 stars is for her and how she is running the doctoral program. Thank you Dr. Colin! The rest of the nursing faculty are also wonderful. Lovely women (too many to name). I’m so glad I made the decision to come to this school. I’ve learned so much that this post would be too long to describe it all! It’s an intellectually challenging program, so be ready to learn. This school in general really focuses on social justice. If you are not open minded to multi-culturalism and discovering new ways of thinking outside of the norm, this may not be the school for you. I tell people this because I know how the culture is in America today (ignorance is bliss). You have to accept to live the ‘Barry Life’, which is being open to culture and seeking justice for those whose voices might go unheard. Like some say on other reviews, yes, the area in which the school is in is kinda sketchy. And be prepared, the student parking is awful. The biggest parking lot is a couple blocks away and you have to take a shuttle to get to the campus. It’s a small campus but quite beautiful.

We went over a few things and she also involved my sister who tagged along with me she absolutely loved that she got to see the labs and the school. Before I knew it Alicia asked when I was wanting to get started I told her as soon as possible. She said it was perfect timing a class starts next month, before I knew it I was signing up for my very first class, filling out for my financial aid. The staff here is OUTSTANDING!!!!! However, after spending some time with Karen in admissions, I discovered that taking a course for Medical Assistant would very possible be a better opportunity for me. I was not at all prepared for what I was getting myself in to. Now, I can say I am glad I took her advice. Marco Medrano Unaware of how to go about furthering my education, and with limited financial resources to do so, a friend of mine recommended Humboldt International University, an educational institution dedicated to educate working students with families and with full-time jobs, as was my case, fully online through virtual, asynchronous classes. My experience was excellent. The staff at their Miami offices was very pleasant and attentive (I had the opportunity to meet the Academic Dean and two of their professors there) the enrollment process streamlined, the cost very affordable, and best of all, their educational materials very solid. The student platform, built on the user-friendly Moodle, is simple to use, and astoundingly always up and functioning. Although HIU, as they call it, offers associates, bachelors, masters and even a doctorate program in business administration, they specialize in educating working adults with a special focus on the skills needed in the 21st century marketplace -- global, strategic, technical -- all with a concentration in learning problem solving methodologies inside out, something that is so vital and important to the educational process today. The school is brand new, founded in 2013, and will pass its full accreditation process by the end of 2016, so, in the meantime, take full advantages of their scholarships and special pricing. You wont regret it.
