joshagosh I feel extremely let down by the degree I got at SJR State. Back in 2016 my advisor promised me Id have tech jobs making 45k to 50k a year starting off lined up if I got a degree in computer networking. What she failed to mention was the field is over saturated, and that theres little to no networking jobs left for people. She also failed to mention no one would realistically pay someone 45k a year fresh out of college. I graduated in 2018, and 7 years later I am still not even seeing 45k a year.
The nursing program is top knotch, but advising when it comes to IT is lacking, stay away from SJR State if you seek transparent advisors who are knowledgeable in what they are doing. If I could return this degree and get the 25 thousand dollars I invested into my education I sure would.

Erin Hewes I attended here before it became a state college. It was a good school for locals to utilize furthering their education. There are some nice outdoor areas to hang out between classes or study. The campus isnt too large that youre walking forever to get to each class. More recently I visit here for the food establishment inside the main building. Parking is a bit away from the buildings. So give yourself time to walk to class or attend something other than a sporting event. I remember parking in areas and then having to walk to the building beside the gym and behind the main building.

Kathryn Lynn 1966-67. Welcoming academically sound professors reach you whenever they wanted. I could walk into any department and talk with all present. My political science professor , a 65 Indian chief grounded me so completely I was well prepared for up to private graduate school and the whole of my adult years. What I gentley remember of any day there was the peace. The real chance to sit with my ice tea and do some much needed reflection. I truly believe my life changed. direction for the better choices ahead because I went there at that time. It was the most open peaceful place for me. Love You St Johns River!!!
