Top Rated 8 University in Tampa, FL - A Smart Choice for the Future part 2

Jennifer Coffman I never go to the USF campus, so I expected more. I was attending the Engineering EXPO today and was excited to share with my little guy as he enjoys robots. We found our way but werent greeted as I thought we would be. There wasnt any signage as to where to go, where to park, and people were still setting up after it started. It felt like the school didnt even care about the event. We enjoyed what we experienced but were not impressed with the way the school treated the event. I guess because it was free... what should I expect. I expected more because of their marketing, and that is an annual event. Im not sure Ill attend again. Secondly, they had a huge USF diner truck come out and place a ton of pizzas on the property right next to the vendors. We were excited to partake when we were told it was only for the vendors... then why make a big show of it for all guests to see... including children!!?? Again, not caring for the guests! We had to leave the EXPO off campus to eat. Not worth it!

Roseanne Pisciotto Brescia Our grandson goes to the university of South Florida. He plays hockey and he’s graduating this year. We are so proud of him and his mom and dad graduated from there. Also Go Bulls!!!!!!

Jenna Davis Awesome, it was a great time attending the USF Softball games! They won tonights game and we are happy to be there to watch it!

Doug N. Excellent University. Our son is about to graduate and had one of the best life experiences attending there. Campus is beautiful, well maintained and always expanding. As a private university, we found that the overall costs to attend was less than our own so called state schools up north. Always warm and sunny in Tampa!

dorene petronaci My daughter just graduated from University of Tampa. She is happy with her experience. She was mostly happy with her professors and her classes. Classes were smaller size, so that professors knew their students names and communicated well. She was able to find a small job off campus for three years to make herself spending money. Hurricanes were disruptive, but she enjoyed the surprise breaks from school. She studied and did her work timely and received excellent grades. I feel she is well prepared for her future.

Kat W If you take student safety as a priority it’s a NO Nice looking school with affordable tuition but what you save in money is not worth the trouble. My daughter’s safety was in jeopardy by an unruly roommate that had no respect for herself let alone the other roommates. My daughter told her RA and the Residence Office that guys were coming into the room at all hours of the night “expecting to get some”. In addition, this roommate would lash out both verbally and physically (on video no less and yes the school is aware) and the school did NOTHING about it. When my daughter asked to switch rooms, they made her go through hell and back and guilted her for not problem solving herself. They upset her so badly that she was visibly upset and her other roommate had to come to the office to get her to calm her down. She finished out the semester and transferred out. Not only did I file a Title IX sexual harassment report that they buried but they also put a sanction on her so that she couldn’t transfer easily to another dorming college. This school is not free. I paid tuition for my daughter to be harassed by her roommate and then her school. Shame on you UTampa. No wonder the retention rate is so awful. For those parents that worry about their children away at school, this is not the school for your kid.

JOSE PAGAN President of the Student Government Association. Best university I’ve been to hands down. This university is jam packed with tons of great students, professors and the leadership is unmatched. Courses are easy to fit in any work life balance and the academic department, with its open door policy provides support and help with navigating through figure goals and any life issues. The Vice President Mrs. Dina has built a very strong and supportive team that goes above and beyond a family environment. The university is also huge on Veterans, just look around the halls! Veterans as you know speak a different language and all have different experiences then civilians and the school’s atmosphere with prior service professors helps veterans transition skills from service to the work force.

LaToya Lee I’ve had a great experience at Everglades University! The faculty and staff are supportive, the student community is growing, and there are so many opportunities to develop academically. It’s a great place to learn, lead, and succeed!

Karl Cieslak Update 2024: I have been attending here now for almost 3.5 years. I completed my Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management and I graduated with two Masters degrees. My degree from here helped me land my dream job as Senior Human Resource Manager for two Marriott Autograph Hotels here in Tampa Bay. The Professors and staff here truly care about you and your experience. I highly recommend to any adult learner. For the person who put a bad review, the school does not pay us for our words, we truly love it here. It is a small school with one on one attention with people who are very knowledgeable in there fields. As with any major purchase do your research as this is not a traditional learners school but meant for adult learners who have busy lives. Mad Love for Campus Veep Dina, Dawn Carson the Dean and Dr Abby Hamilton on the admin side. On the professor side some of the most impactful people for me was Dr B and Dr Fronrath.

Marva L Holmes I really enjoyed my graduation in Orlando. It was a great experience. I also liked that I was able to do the billing and coding program online. It was very convenient.

Kristie Snyder Saint Leo is a fabulous university. They offer support for both academics and mindfulness. The campuses are welcoming, the staff is engaging, and the experience is like no other. I feel 100% prepared to enter my field of study upon graduation.

Alexandria chavez Rod Kirkwood was one of the worst customer service Ive ever received. Gave me the run around. I was registered for school once and what needed to be a smooth transition wasnt. He lost my transcripts, gave me the run around. Wasnt clear. I can tell this school is all about money. I am so happy I ended up finding a much better option with great customer service.

Our experience with administration and the instructors were top quality. The courseworks presentation was fantastic and our agency would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jenenne! Gianni Gallagher This campus is rated among the most beautiful college campuss in the US for a reason! The views of the city which can be seen from campus is stunning. The food is outstanding, although it does receive quite concerning reviews from others, which Im yet to understand... There are plenty of food options, even in the dining hall, making it REAL difficult to complain about, but anyway... My time with professors at this university has been great when using Rate My Professor. You need to play it real smart when picking your professor for a class when making your schedule. Its a brilliant idea to meet your potential professor, like your "trying them out", per say. Lots and lots of people at this university seem to have a great, great time! Its a great place to visit with family or a tourist, and I highly recommend coming down regardless if youre a student or not.

The breathtaking beauty and facilities of this campus aside, the students are diverse, dedicated, bright, and creative. Faculty care about students and offer highly personalized attention as we work together with high standards for academic excellence. Leadership cares about quality of student life and experiential learning; diversity, equity, and inclusion; critical thinking and inquiry; academic freedom; student success. UTampa is an oasis in so many ways that I will never take it for granted. Go, U.T.!
