Ana Teresa (Terri) Castanera If there was less than1 star, I would give them that. I have been going to Cali Nails for about a year for a pedicure. The first experience was great. I had them done by the same girl another time and she was great. When I went again she was gone. Since then, other people had been doing my pedicure and they were fine. About a month ago, I went and was assigned Claudia. She first grabbed onto my toe so hard, it hurt. I guess she got upset that I said something. She tried to take of the polish off the big toe. I had the metallic polish which is harder to remove. She didnt try to take it off the other toes. Then she told me it was gel. Ive never had gel on my toes. But she decided to tell the guy in charge that it was gel. He believed her and charged me more for removing the gel which I never had. He believed some inexperienced person to charge me more. So his greed made me write his review. My big regret is giving her a tip.
I can see why they have a big turnover with people working there. I even told the guy, dont you think if I had gel, they would have charged me for it. He just said, to you have to pay for it. I am writing this review to warn other people about their greed. I will never go there and will tell everyone I know what happened to me.

Jerra Connors Buss This was the worse experience I’ve had at a nail shop. Myself, my friend and her daughter went to get full sets of acrylic done. When I booked the appt, I informed the guy that I’m picky and wanted a design. I used to do nails professionally so I know what I like. He said he would put me with the best person for designs in his shop. The girl who did my nails didn’t speak a word of English, she let me know she couldn’t do the first design I wanted so I showed her a second design. She nodded her head making me believe she could do it. She finished my set and I knew they weren’t going to be good by the way she applying the acrylic. I had to tell her they were crooked and asked if she could clean up all the glue under my nails and extra acrylic everywhere. After she ‘fixed’ them I had to take the file and straightened them myself. She started with the design and I realized she wouldn’t be able to do it so then showed her a 3rd design, super simple with a crescent moon. She did one nail, the moon looked like a C. I was trying to ask her to fatten up one side so it looks like a moon. That’s when she text in her phone to translate “I told you from the beginning I couldn’t do the design…..” which she didn’t. I then said forget it, just take it off, she was huffing while removing it.
My friends story, she got short stiletto nails from a guy. They were horrible, so very crooked and lumpy, I mean, no shape at all, it was bad. She also had to file them herself, which they looked better but she’s not a nail tech.She wanted a simple cat eye polish which he gave a straight line, nothing like she showed him. Her daughters nail looked good, not what she wanted but what the lady (nail tech) was capable of.
So paying, I paid minimum. My friend and her daughter was $60 each. Way too much for what they got. After leaving my friend was very irritated by what she wanted vs what she got and paid for. I called and talked to the same guy who booked the appointment and he did credit back $15 to her card but this is all to say, you can’t always trust the reviews you read.

Tamara Brandt Mimi did a good job! My first time here. My neighbor recommended Cali. I was pleased with the results! I got gel nail manicure and regular pedicure.
