John Volo My prosthesis became a little loose after 5mos. I called the Ft Lauderdale Office and they gave me an appointment the very next day. The staff was welcoming and outstanding. They made the re-tightening of my prosthesis very comfortable experience. Having my teeth replaced by Nuvia it has added tremendously to the quality of my life. The staff here is wonderful. Rossanna Jaimes Making long story short...I had a root canal done at this office in March 2024. Despite the procedure, I continued to feel pain. They reopened the tooth, checked the canals, and applied more medication. When I returned for the final filling and crown, they placed the permanent crown without refilling the tooth and left cotton inside.Over the next few months, my pain worsened. Every time I went back, the dentist dismissed it, blaming teeth grinding. In September 2024, I sought a second opinion and was told my tooth was fractured and improperly filled. The specialist confirmed necrotic tissue due to fluid infiltration. Because of the infection, the second dentist had to attempt treatment before extraction, otherwise, the anesthesia wouldnt work. She was shocked by the amount of anesthesia needed due to the severity of the infection despite the treatment. When I contacted the original office about this, they accused me of trying to take advantage, comparing my refund request to eating at a restaurant and then asking for my money back. This experience has been painful, frustrating, and expensive. I strongly do not recommend this office due to their negligence and poor customer service. Note: what you see black in the tooth is the necrotic tissue. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GOING THERE. UPDATE: The office only contacted me after receiving the notification of my review. Prior to that, they never reached out. They claimed they were trying to coordinate with the office, but the truth is, they just wanted me to remove my review. They offered to cover the cost of the implant (which is also covered by my insurance), but only on the condition that I take down my review. ( see text message, in Spanish) I initially agreed, but then I realized that returning to that office, where underqualified professionals had already compromised my health, was not a good idea. What you see in the picture is the temporary filling that my second dentist placed to help reduce the infection. My medical records from my second dentist confirm that they left COTTON INSIDE for FIVE months and I saw it with my own eyes, so they are saying now that my second dentist and I are liars. You can also see the permanent crown in the picture, so maybe the office can clarify if the standard procedure is to place a permanent crown on a tooth with temporary filling, thats amazing! I will have the peer review Board to review this response!

Sarah Hambsh Had a great experience. This was my first time at a dentist and it was very enjoyable. Adrienn at the front desk was very helpful and even gave me a tour. My dentist Dr. Mimi took her time explaining everything to me and making sure I was comfortable. Her assistant Nelly really helped calm my nerves and was extremely attentive to my needs. Ali Settel JJ Dental is the best dentist in Ft Lauderdale. I highly recommend them for both the dentists and dental hygienists. I’ve been lucky enough to have Anthony as my dental hygienist for the last 2-3 years and I have to say he goes over and beyond each time. He remembers important things about me personally and professionally that really make a difference. I like that he has a dedicated room and is consistent with his work each time. The location of JJ Dental is also prime for where I live so it’s convenient. Will continue to recommend JJ Dental to all my friends.

Angie Jones Very friendly staff in person & via phone. I went here because I was looking for work with a free consultation. The nice young lady that got me the appointment was VERY informative but there was NO MENTION of the $160 fee. As a matter of fact if you Google" free consultation dentists" JJ is at the top of the list! The prices are a little steep compared to other places Ive gone to for a deep cleaning. They quoted me over $1,000 just for a deep cleaning. Dr. Rudy was nice & informative. My x-rays were painful, something Ive never experienced before. Technician was nice but it was a longer than usual, painful process.

beatriz Avoid This Dentist - A Scam! I had a terrible experience at this dental office and I highly advise against going here. They offered a "first-time client cleaning" for $79, which was supposed to include an X-ray. After getting my exams and X-rays done, they refused to give me the cleaning, claiming I had gingivitis and that I would need to pay an additional $348 for the treatment. The $79 offer is just a tactic to get your money. They don’t care about whether you can afford the additional costs, they only care about securing that initial payment. I was forced to pay the $79 for services I didn’t even receive! On top of that, I’m still waiting for the exam results to be sent to me, even though they promised they’d email them. If I dont receive them soon, I’ll be disputing the charge with my credit card company. Don’t fall for this scam. Save your money and go somewhere that’s honest and transparent. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be ripped off!

Paul Moore After a review of past patients and upon further review with my insurance provider, I visited Stanton Smiles and had a complete set of X-rays and a professional review of the condition of my teeth. A cleaning was scheduled for the next day and a complete treatment plan was given to me. All staff were very pleasant and professional.

Once she starts working in your mouth she wants to make sure you are not feeling any discomfort . Neen Every time I come to the dentist office, I’m always greeted so warmly. Cameron and Diamond are exceptional hygienists, and the entire staff is extremely kind. The dentists are wonderful, and super knowledgeable. Today I dropped my glasses on the floor, and without asking, Diamond picked them up and cleaned them for me. Simple but such kind gestures like that keep me coming back.

The estimate for the dental work here is much more reasonable than other estimates I received. Dr. Bernard is very professional! On my second visit which was for a cleaning…Maria the hygienist was amazing! She didn’t rush through the cleaning she took her time and my teeth felt squeaky clean! I very much appreciate both Monique and Tatiana’s light touch and efficient, skillful approach to cleanings. They are both very patient and knowledgeable with assessment and explanation of potential treatment. Dr. Martinez did an onlay for me a year ago and he and Jae were very kind and considerate, worked with me around my anxiety of needles and answered all my questions with thoughtful explanations. Michael Solitt I love this place. It’s not a chain dental operation just pushing you through their system. Everybody here takes personal interest in my dental health. Karena is my hygienist. The most competent and professional hygienist I’ve ever had. She’s only been there over 20 years! Dr. Quesada is the best too. He can do anything. But what I like about him most is that many times he tells me that he doesn’t want to do anything!! I love that he’s not pushing procedures. He’s a real professional. Frank Becker Getting dental implants, and I’m so excited. I can’t wait til I can eat real food again. The whole staff seemed to work really well together at taking care of me. Each person had their own personal job but they seemed to do it as a team. Everybody is friendly. You have to go back a few times to make sure everything is going well during the procedure and every time I go I’m noticed by a hello, not just a hello , but a general feeling that they care and to make sure I’m doing ok. I’m still in the healing process but so far from the day I walked in til now, it just seemed like I picked the right place to go. The dentist showed a nice confident feeling about himself and each person did their part professionally but in a caring way too.

floyd duclos Coming from my experience at the dentist I was at there was no bedside manner. There was nothing all they wanted was your money so I hopped online after my cap fell out three times and he charged me the first time to put it back in my partners had his caps for 30 years no problem so I decided to do To find another dentist into my searches, I am finding Island City smile. Let me tell you what the office manager. Susan is the best I was going in with very low expectations but now I have very high expectations for her and her crew. They are wonderful, sweet and kind. They definitely want you there cause for your business but also make you feel like a family. She was wonderful again again, thank you so much Susan for making me feel like part of your family. I really appreciate you. I recommend Island City smiles to everyone. Who’s had problems with the dentist now or in the past you won’t go wrong by picking this trust me.

Jeffrey Parker My experience was awful. I went there in agonizing pain and expected to get treatment. The dentist didnt do any work on me. All they did was take Photos of my mouth. Then offered me a treatment plan for things not included in my health insurance plan. Therefore I must pay cash to receive any help or treatment. I need 2 teeth extractions and they said it must be by Oral surgery and cost over $400 each plus deep cleaning of my top and bottom gums. They wouldnt even clean my teeth which is included in my health insurance plan. I dont recommend anyone to go there unless you have a lot of money in your pockets.
