5 /5 Intice Dance Fitness: Best location and best staff. I love the trainers and staff at Amped. Steve-O, Lauren, Alexis and Anthony all go above and beyond to create a great community. Alexis and Lauren are so knowledgeable and have helped me along my fitness journey so much. I’m so grateful for them. Can’t wait for the remodel and the new amenities they are adding to the downtown location, it can’t come soon enough!

5 /5 Monique Boule: This gym is great and it’s a great price too for the value. Love that it’s open 24/7 and the staff here are all wonderful. Ashley is always smiling. I’ve been coming here for 9 months and decided to start personal training with Anthony and Elliot . They made me feel very comfortable and were fun. Elliots been great as a trainer! I’m excited to have my pre baby body back over the next year.

5 /5 Grace Hickey: The staff here is amazing! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Stevo was amazing with getting me all set up and made everything really easy to start. Anastasia has seriously been the best trainer I’ve worked with. She’s motivating, knowledgeable, and actually makes workouts enjoyable! If she can get me to show up to the gym consistently, she can get anyone to! Highly recommend this place and the whole team!

5 /5 Philip Lowe: Best place to workout in DTSP. The trainers/staff are very helpful , knowledgeable. There is more than enough machines / space that the gym is never over crowded. Very affordable as well compared to other gyms in the area.

2 /5 Mindy London: Last January members received an email stating that our monthly membership would be increasing by approx. $5 per month. We were told that the increase was necessary in order to provide the maintenance and upgrading of the "state of the art" equipment and adding new amenities to meet the highest standards. Well, here it is 10 months later and there have been no upgrades or new equipment, no amenities added. Current equipment is maintained at the lowest levels. Treadmills remain unlevel and sound like they are gong to take off as speed is increased. Yet Amped has opened several new facilities while downtown has seen NO CHANGES. I am happy to pay a price increase but I am not happy to fund other locations that do not benefit the members here. Your staff is great and is also unaware of when these supposed changes will take place. I have been told several different time lines none of which occur. Management should at least give members an honest update as to these promised upgrades, none have been given. And on top of it all, the air conditioning at this location has been down for days now. There is one house fan that was put at the back of the gym which does not really do anything for comfort levels. PLEASE UPGRADE AS PROMISED!!

The gym is clean, well-organized, and has a wide variety of equipment. Whether I’m lifting weights or doing cardio, I never have to wait long—even during busier times. The staff here is genuinely kind and welcoming. They create such a positive, low-pressure atmosphere—it really feels like they want you to succeed and enjoy being there. That friendliness goes a long way. One of the best parts? The crowd. Everyone is super chill and respectful. It’s not one of those gyms that feels like a reality show set — no egos, no pressure, just real people getting their workouts in. That kind of vibe makes it easy to focus and feel comfortable, no matter your fitness level. If you’re looking for a solid, no-drama gym in St. Pete with a great atmosphere, I highly recommend this LA Fitness.

The gym feels cleaner, more organized, and way more positive. The staff is friendlier, the equipment is well maintained, and the overall vibe just motivates you to show up. I’m really happy with the changes — highly recommend this place!

Freebird Fitness - St. Petersburg

Delaney Driver: This review is long overdue, especially considering I’ve taken over 100 classes at Freebird Fitness. I became a member during the hardest time of my life while going through chemo, a double mastectomy, and radiation. Even writing this makes me emotional because I had always been such an active person and suddenly all of that was taken away from me. When I was ready to try moving my body again, I struggled to find a place that would be flexible with my health circumstances, my membership, and most importantly make me feel comfortable walking in. Freebird became that place. I was bald with baby hairs trying to grow back, dealing with horrible hot flashes, and later unable to do any upper body work for a long time, and still I never once felt out of place. Freebird was truly a community and a home for me. Dani has such a gift for making every single person feel seen and special, and that is exactly how I feel every time I am there. And don’t ask me to pick a favorite coach because I genuinely love all of them. Each coach has their own style, but they are all so kind, encouraging, and passionate about what they do. I honestly feel like I gained a second family during a time when I was rebuilding not just strength but confidence. I will forever sing their praises. This is your sign to get off ClassPass and officially join this community.

SWET St. Pete - St. Petersburg

Danielle H: Best workout around. This gym is elite. There isn’t a coach there that isn’t great. Workouts are well planned, upscale equipment, app is easy and user friendly. There isn’t a thing missing at SWET. You can tell from the second you walk in this gym its top notch.

I can notice additional mobility and overall strength improvements even in 2 months. All of the coaches at the gym are knowledgeable, personable and seem to genuinely care about helping you improve. What I was not expecting was how warm and welcoming the class environment is. Every member seems to want to help each other succeed and motivate you to do your best - PR or not. Give this place a try if you want an inclusive but kick ass workout.

Prior to starting these classes a few weeks ago, I hadn’t lifted weights in 5+ years but the transition back has been way easier than I would have otherwise anticipated. The workout is effective, the instructions are always very clear and the music and dim lighting makes for a fun & comfortable environment when you’re new. We’ll be back!!

The atmosphere is incredibly positive & welcoming and the gym itself is top-notch, with high-quality equipment that is well-maintained, clean and thoughtfully laid out. The staff is friendly, supportive & committed to helping members succeed. I talked to one of their coaches, Bill Palmer, on my first day at the gym and I can’t say enough great things about my experience so far. Working with Bill has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health & well-being. He designed an exercise program that is quickly helping me achieve fitness goals I thought were out of reach. Bill’s depth of knowledge is incredible, as is his constant encouragement & support along the way. While I will miss having The Gym right around the corner in Tierra Verde, I will absolutely be following them to their new spot in SPB & excited to see what’s ahead. If you’re looking for a gym & staff that will inspire you to reach your goals & take your fitness journey to the next level, look no further. I give 5+ stars to Coach Bill Palmer and The Gym Tierra Verde!

PAUL E DOBRACKI: This is a great gym, especially if you want a hassle free workout. No large groups of youths working out and sitting on the equipment socializing. Definitely a mature crowd, not just in age but in the seriousness of working out. Feels like a private club. Never crowded, plenty of equipment, never a wait for equipment. The cleanest gym I’ve been to in a long time. Every time I’ve been there,there has been an attendant on duty making sure it stays that way. I’ve haven’t seen any broken equipment. Finally the staff is great. Katie and Tom were able to answer all my questions when I came to check out the facility. I felt so comfortable there that I joined that day. No regrets at all, really enjoy working out here Final line, if you are looking for a club that’s clean, well maintained, well equipped and not crowded, this is the club to join. Ask for Katie.

F45 Training St. Petersburg - St. Petersburg

Chris Idaris: Went to my first F45 class today and as a beginner I was honestly terrified. From the second I walked in the door the trainers welcomed me and showed me around. Brett and Tori were very encouraging and corrected me on my form throughout the class which as a beginner I greatly appreciated. Everyone in the class was friendly and no one was judgemental which was something I was worried about joining as a beginner. My only regret is that I didn’t listen to my friends about joining sooner! If you are a beginner and want a gym that is encouraging, welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental I highly recommend giving F45 a shot.
