1 /5 B M: Signed an "adjustable rate" mortgage with them in 2005 for a piece of property. What they forgot to point out is that they had placed a floor of 6.75% on the interest rate, so as the market tanked and my property lost value, I am still paying that 6.75% when I could have been at least benefiting from lower interest rates. Letters to the bank resulted in a phone call that yielded no adjustment. This is what "predatory" lending is all about.
