Karla Vanessa: Splack is my go to trainer! He makes working out fun with different classes to offer. I’ve been a client for a few years now; he is fun, motivating and will get you where you need to be to accomplish your goal!
    The Gym TLH - Tallahassee
David Overstreet: Perfect size gym. Not oversized or too small to have what you need. Very engaged trainers. They do a great job of setting up a personal routine for you each time you attend.
    Synergee Fitness - Tallahassee
Stephanie S: I highly recommend Paul at Synergee Fitness. His ability to see how my body compensates for specific needs/weakness and his knowledge of how to correct it by fine-tuning my form is unbelievable. For several years prior, I had gone regularly to a group fitness class that I enjoyed but I never felt like I was getting the results that I wanted, I was always questioning if my form was good, and I was always wondering how to modify exercises to protect my knee after a surgery years ago. Since starting with Paul 7 months ago, we are already achieving my goals and some new ones that I didn’t know were possible: I feel stronger, I know that my form is better, my knee feels stable and protected and has better range of motion, and I have stopped going to the chiropractor for nagging upper back pain. Worth every penny!
    Orangetheory Fitness - Tallahassee
Lindsay Hinson: Member for 12 years with over 3000 classes. I absolutely love OTF and dont want to leave. I am not a complainer. I have been to countless studios and had good and bad experiences but never ever written a review. But I believe in treating all members with basic human dignity, so Im very sad to have to cancel due to abhorrent professionalism standards under the current management and ownership at the tallahassee locations. I wont share details because i care about the member who had an incredibly sad and painful experience at the hands of their employee, but if you have any ethical standards, this business has made it clear that they dont deserve your patronage. Moving forward, I can only hope that my canceling and other members reading this means that the manager, owner, and their members never have to personally experience what they have put their member through at the hands of an employee.
    Pure Barre - Tallahassee
Micaiah W. Johnson: It’s accessible to a wide range of bodies, regardless of age, fitness level, or previous injuries - there are modifications for everything to make it more or less challenging. I continued classes throughout my pregnancy and after birth recovery, and the workouts not only strengthened my body but also helped it heal. The variety of classes is also nice, catering to weight lovers, cardio fanatics, and active stretchers. Though I’m local to TLH, I’ve taken Pure Barre classes all over the country when I travel for work and there’s a key factor that unites them: a supportive, welcoming, non-judgmental community. I’m grateful to have found Pure Barre (especially our awesome TLH studios!) and am addicted for life!
9Round Kickboxing Fitness -Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee
Hartmann Lynn: Honest review from someone continuously becoming a healthier version of themselves: Took an early lunch hour and Tried out a 9Round Fitness/Kickboxing one on one class. I didnt hate it but didnt love it either. It was more of a boot camp style class, and its not for me. Its my personality, it doesnt mix with boot camp style motivation and thats okay. Trainer was a nice guy. And it was free to try. You should check it out for yourself!
    Orangetheory Fitness - Tallahassee
Aishah Lurry: My Orangetheory experience began impressively with the managers patience and enthusiasm during our initial call, where he answered my myriad of questions, showcasing exceptional customer service. Before even stepping foot in the gym, I felt valued and excited. My first visit was made even more special by a personalized welcome sign, enhancing the sense of belonging amid friendly staff. The class itself was challenging yet exactly what I needed, leaving me eager for more. This welcoming atmosphere and effective workout are precisely what anyone would desire when joining a new fitness club.
    Iconic Physique - Tallahassee
Drucilla Poitier: The environment fosters both personal growth and a strong sense of community. Progress is acknowledged and supported, making it a welcoming place for all fitness levels. Dedication and hard work are valued, which helps create an encouraging atmosphere.
    D1 Training Tallahassee - Tallahassee
Emily D: Some time ago I accepted a one-time guest pass to D-1 Training. As someone who also understands injury and recovery, having worked in healthcare and lived through my own physical limitations, I showed up to support a friend. My goal was to see what kind of equipment and training environment the facility offered—not to participate in an intense workout. Despite making my intentions—and limitations—very clear, I was pressured by the trainer (young black male- didn’t get his name)to fully participate in the workout. I repeatedly expressed that I wasn’t physically able or intending to train that day, yet my boundaries were completely dismissed. The result? Lingering physical pain and limited mobility for nearly two weeks. This wasn’t motivation—it was irresponsible and unsafe. For a training center built around the reality of injury and recovery, the lack of awareness and respect for someone’s physical condition was deeply disappointing. Being a guest doesn’t mean surrendering autonomy or medical judgment. And as a woman in her mid-40s, I shouldn’t have had to explain—multiple times—why pushing past my limits was a problem. It was as if not fully participating was seen as some kind of failure or disrespect. It’s not that serious. But the consequences for my body were. If you’re considering D-1 Training and have a history of injury, be cautious. Speak up—and if they don’t listen, walk away. #D1Training #InjuryAwareness #FitnessBoundaries #RespectMatters #GuestExperience #AccountabilityInFitness
    The Iron Vault - Tallahassee
Patrick Childers: I have been attending this gym for about a week now and am in love. There is all the equipment you need to become a big strong man/woman. It is especially cool that they have many Strong Man Competition style implements here that they showcase every Saturday. These are a great way to mix up your workouts. The Gym operators also updates a free workout suggestion board every week to help keep your workouts fresh. I am not new to working out, but am new to many core lifts (Squats and Deadlifts) and the operators and other members have been beyond helpful teaching me the basics of these lifts. There is a great sense of community here and would recommend it to anyone looking to begin or continue/improve your strength.
