Sweat Life Fitness - Jonesville
Mckenzie Graybeal: Sweat Life is the home away from home gym everyone needs in their life!! The owners Dan & Art make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. I could spend 7 days a week there and never get tired of this place! Great variety of workouts and trainers that care!!
North Central Florida Community Center - Gainesville
Wanda: Very few places take Silver sneakers insurance so very grateful. Also classes in afternoons like I like with a great instructor and all the people have been super nice. Actually glad dont freeze to death like most places.
North Star Fitness | CrossFit Riverstyx - Gainesville
Trish Thoburn: North Star Fitness is such a welcoming community, no matter your fitness level. They have a variety of classes , some for the more fit and seasoned cross fit athlete and my class which is a beginners longevity class. We move slower, focusing on good form and accomodating everyones needs. It is still a great workout and we have a lot of fun. The coaches are all wonderful and everyone in the gym has been so welcoming and encouraging. So whether you are super fit, or an older beginner like me, North Star is a great gym.
D1 Training Gainesville - Newberry
Maryam Deravi: I have had an incredible experience training at D1 Training, Gainesville! The coaches are top-notch, especially Coach Luke. He has been super helpful with correcting my form and offering great advice on running technique. Thanks to the strength training here, I was able to run my very first marathon feeling strong and well-prepared. One of my favorite parts about the workouts is that there is plenty of time to warm up and get ready before jumping into the strength and lifting portions. It makes a huge difference in preventing injury and getting the most out of each session. If you are looking for a place that combines knowledgeable coaching with a supportive environment, I cannot recommend D1 Gainesville enough!
Fitness Center at Santa Fe College - Gainesville
Michael Norton: Its not pretty, nor is it fancy, but if you want a decent pump, its very well-organized and clean. Some people have problems re-racking, though.
Pure Barre - Gainesville
Grecia Chavez: I’ve really been enjoying taking classes here for the last 5 months. The classes are challenging, and I love to feel muscles I haven’t felt in years feeling sore. The 30 minute classes are a go to for my busy schedule, but I also really enjoy the longer classes too. I did feel a little lost the first two months, but you tend to catch on the more you go and start to pick up on cues easier. I really appreciate when the instructors correct my form, and I’d like to give a shout out to Aliyah and Stefie, who are my favorite instructors. They always encourage and help. The pricing on the classes is really affordable, and I recommend getting a membership with them. It’s hard at first, but it feels so good and empowering the more you go!
AXIS Training Studio - Gainesville
Diane Scianimanico: I highly recommend Axis Training Studio! Ive been attending Axis for almost a year, and Ive noticed a significant improvement in my physique and endurance level since I started. Before joining Axis, I worked out three times a week with a home-based personal trainer. While I had established a good baseline, my goal was to increase strength and muscle mass. I now attend group classes twice a week and have one personal training session with Chad. Chad has consistently challenged me and helped me stay on track to achieve my goals. He is also incredibly knowledgeable in his field, always educating me on the science and body mechanics behind our exercises and programs, which I find very helpful. Again, I wholeheartedly recommend Axis. They offer excellent group classes and instructors, so whether youre looking for strength gains, body fat reduction, or simply to improve your overall health, they have a wide variety of options that can help you achieve your fitness objectives.
Sun Country Sports Center - Millhopper - Gainesville
Mark Shaw: My daughter and I visited the US recently from the UK to watch the Gators. As part of the trip I was able to arrange a couple of sessions at the gymnastics facility! She had the best time, a welcoming, warming, safe friendly gym. Made some new friends, was coached by the fantastic experienced coaching staff and was able to practice routines whilst also able to learn and try out new skills. As a parent you are able to watch and even though it was a flying visit I got feedback from the coaches. I would absolutely recommend this gymnastic club. My daughter had 2 four hour sessions with the team and I felt that Sam and the team were terrific!! Thank you so much This was a real opportunity for my daughter and if we come back to Gainesville we will definitely be returning to see the ladies and coaches! Thank you for helping make dreams come true ❤️
The Laurels Gym - Gainesville
Orangetheory Fitness - Gainesville
Alexandra Adamo: I love Orange Theory’s well-structured workouts and the blend of both cardio and strength in most of their classes, with some just focusing on treads or strength. I’ve only taken classes with Coach Kevin so far here, and his energy and encouragement make every workout both fun and rewarding! Excited to take more classes!
