Lux DeeLight Kinsey: I stopped by Kay jewelers to get what I thought was a new battery for my vintage watch. Dina immediately warmly greeted me when I walked in the store and asked how she could help. She was very complementary of my watch and took it back to see about changing the battery. When she returned, she explained the battery is old-fashioned and it does not need a battery. She kindly impatiently explain how the watch worked So now I can confidently wear my vintage watch and keep it working. She didn’t charge me anything for her services, and gave me a thorough explanation of the features. She was able to identify on my vintage watch. My day is brighter And I’m more knowledgeable because of Dina.

L Corsal: My friend was taking his watch for a new battery, so I asked him to take mine. Mine needed a battery and a new pin in one of the ceramic bracelet links. The jeweler used the wrong size pin and a tiny hammer and broke one of the ceramic links. She then decided to remove the broken link. Of course, once you remove the link, it changes length of the band and it would no longer fit my wrist. But she started pulling out another pin anyway, then decided, with it halfway out, that she couldnt do it and handed it back to him like that. Then charged him for the battery change. I called, told her I was the owner of the watch band she broke. She said, "Yes, maam". I asked if she had any other watch bands that would fit, but she would only say, "that band is made specifically for that watch, honey". Repeatedly. I said, I know its made for that watch, but people have been known to change bands. She said the same thing again, "that band is made specifically for that watch, honey". I said, so you dont have any other watch bands? To which she replied, "you can have your husband bring it back in, honey, and Ill look at it again". She never once apologized for breaking the band, but instead sounded condescending, then annoyed, and finally just plain rude. I highly recommend NOT going here! Edit: Thank you for proving my point. Still no apology, still rude. 1) Yes, the back was off. You/she replaced the battery and put the back on. No complaint was made about that. The missing pin in the ceramic band wasnt missing because it was "worked on" at home. It had simply fallen out. Some of the others were loose, too. None of the ceramic pieces were broken when it was brought in. NOTHING was broken when it was brought in. One of the ceramic links in the band is what you/she broke when you/she "worked on" it in your store. Yes, he said hed try to fix it. Im curious, what do you expect a customer to say when you hand something back to them after youve broken it? 2) You obviously misunderstood him about who he was, the wife was, and I was. 3) True, I didnt leave the house to come to your store in person. Why? Being a disabled senior, its extremely difficult to go anywhere and a third person or middle man who steps up to help is a godsend. But sure, be condescending yet again and further insult me for not coming "in person". Yes, I called. And I asked 3 times if you carry ANY other watch bands. I still dont know the answer! Obviously talking on the phone gets a customer nowhere fast. Not good business practice.
