I brought my daughter’s baby jewelry here to get repaired and to have a ring resized. These pieces had sentimental value, and I paid $100 upfront with the agreement to pay the remaining $100 upon pickup. I was told I’d receive a call when the items were ready, but I never did. I had to reach out myself after some time passed.
Life happened — I fell on hard times and moved, but when I finally called to check on the jewelry, the owner told me the store had been broken into and that some items were missing. He said he would check if my daughter’s jewelry was among them, but I never got a follow-up call.
What hurts the most is that this was all my daughter’s jewelry from when she was a baby — small, unique, and irreplaceable. The owner vaguely mentioned that he and his wife would go through boxes, but they never got back to me. When I tried to verify my claim, he dismissed me, saying, “Where’s your ticket? I made you take a picture of it.” That was several phones ago — things happen — but surely there should be another way to verify a paying customer.
Overall, I feel completely disregarded and heartbroken. I paid for a service, trusted this business with precious items, and was left with nothing. Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone take their valuables here.
