1 /5 J V: If I could give John Lee 0 stars I would. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share.
From the start, I was sold on the idea that I was working with someone who was āa family manā and would want the best for his own daughters, so naturally, he would look out for my fiancĆ©e and me the same way. Unfortunately, that couldnāt have been further from the truth.
The moment I simply said I wanted to shop around for the best rates. Instead of professionalism, I got a dial tone. He literally hung up on me because he didnāt like what I had to say.
Think about that for a second: the person entrusted to handle one of the most important financial decisions of your life canāt even handle a difficult conversation without slamming the phone down. If this is how he reacts when challenged, I canāt imagine how he handles real issues that require patience, diligence, and integrity.
That one act didnāt just cost him my business. He also lost the business of both my parents and my fiancĆ©eās parents ā multiple families who were prepared to work with him. Thatās not just unprofessional, thatās reckless.
Anyone can talk about values, but when it comes down to it, actions matter more than words. If you want a lender who treats clients with respect and professionalism ā not emotion ā look anywhere else.
At the end of the day, if hanging up on a client is your version of āfamily values,ā maybe itās time to find a new line of work.
