Jesse Hursh: I like this gym. John was very nice and helpful. 3-day passes are always nice. Kind of has a mix of powerlifting feel and a planet fitness. Get in, get out straightforward workouts. Dumbbells and free weights are excellent. Plenty of plates dont have to go searching for once
Intice Dance Fitness: Best location and best staff. I love the trainers and staff at Amped. Steve-O, Lauren, Alexis and Anthony all go above and beyond to create a great community. Alexis and Lauren are so knowledgeable and have helped me along my fitness journey so much. I’m so grateful for them. Can’t wait for the remodel and the new amenities they are adding to the downtown location, it can’t come soon enough!
Brittney Daniels: Starting somewhere new is always nerve-wracking—you never know how you’ll be accepted. From the very first day I stepped onto the turf at Outdoor Group Fitness (OGF), I realized this was a gym like no other. Over the past two months of being a member, I have experienced nothing but encouragement, support, and motivation that has pushed me to levels I didn’t think were possible.
On my first day, I met Coach Harley, who was so kind and welcoming, and Jolie, who helped me get settled before the session began. I was then paired with Coach Emily and Coach Chelsea during a core and conditioning workout, and both were incredibly supportive and uplifting throughout the entire session. In that moment, I knew I had found more than just a gym—I had found a family and a new home.
What makes OGF stand out is the sense of community. Everyone is so kind, always cheering one another on, encouraging each other through tough workouts, and lifting each other up during some of the hardest physical challenges we’ve ever faced. The atmosphere is positive, motivating, and genuinely welcoming.
In just two months, I’ve met so many amazing people—both coaches and fellow members—who I am grateful to have alongside me on my fitness journey and now in my life. The coaches are outstanding, the programming is challenging yet adaptable, and the support system is unmatched.
If I could change one thing, it would only be that I wish I had found Outdoor Group Fitness much sooner. Thank you, OGF, for creating such an incredible environment and for making me feel truly at home.
Babak Rezvani: Ive been going to the LA Fitness on 4th Street in St. Pete for a while now, and it’s been a great fit for my workout routine. The gym is clean, well-organized, and has a wide variety of equipment. Whether I’m lifting weights or doing cardio, I never have to wait long—even during busier times.
The staff here is genuinely kind and welcoming. They create such a positive, low-pressure atmosphere—it really feels like they want you to succeed and enjoy being there. That friendliness goes a long way.
One of the best parts? The crowd. Everyone is super chill and respectful. It’s not one of those gyms that feels like a reality show set — no egos, no pressure, just real people getting their workouts in. That kind of vibe makes it easy to focus and feel comfortable, no matter your fitness level.
If you’re looking for a solid, no-drama gym in St. Pete with a great atmosphere, I highly recommend this LA Fitness.
