From what started out as serious charges, caused by cops that obviously love to overcharge non residents, Sam was able to get all the charges dismissed but one and plea bargained one to a minor misdemeanor. The original charges included jail time and heavy fines. I was turning left across traffic and didn’t see a scooter. Though I stopped, the scooter didn’t slow or try to avoid resulting in the rider trying seriously hurt. Though I was stopped, I was charged with felony reckless driving.
