1 /5 Lisa Orton: They couldnt care less. I was a loyal customer to Allstate for 20 years until yesterday. I had Auto, Homeowners and the Roadside service plan with Allstate. Because my house was built in 1995, the underwriter, Castle Key, dropped our policy. I expected my Allstate agent, Warren Foley, to help us find a competitive quote. After multiple phone calls and unreturned messages, I gave up and went searching for insurance myself. But Allstate, without contacting me, and without my knowledge or consent, uploaded a quote to my mortgage portal on my behalf. That new policy was more than $12,000!!! That was $5,000 more than my current insurance, which was already over $7,000. I found a policy for a third of that cost, with MORE coverage, and was able to kick Allstate to the curb. As of yesterday, they no longer have ANY of my business. Do you want to know the best part? They dont care ... But I do :-)
