1 /5 Dayane Santos: I signed up for YouFit a few years ago and only went for three days because I moved to a different city, and there was no YouFit gym nearby. I called several times to cancel my membership, and every time they told me it was already being processed and that the next month would be my last. I even went in person three different times to cancel, and they always said, “Don’t worry, it’s already canceled.”
Well, apparently, it was never canceled. I ended up paying for over a year and three months even though I only went three days! The only time they actually stopped charging me was when I canceled my credit card.
Now I’m getting calls from a collection agency saying I owe $258? Are you serious? After paying for more than a year for a service I didn’t even use? This is completely unfair and unprofessional. Be very careful before signing up with this company — they make it almost impossible to cancel and keep charging you for months.
