Jose Caraballo This is a Church on Sundays. Cafe on every other day. This is an extremely loving church body, it’s a smaller congregation, expect about 15-35 people on Sunday. The Pastor preaches right out of Gods word. And the church is highly focused on prayer and submission to the Lord Jesus Christ. I would highly recommend.

Alyssa Lamascus The first person to introduce themselves to me was a pastor, which tells me a lot about the church environment. They played a total of 5 worship songs throughout the whole service and not a single one of them was NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) influenced, which is UNHEARD OF in todays church (think Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, etc. - which often promote harmful teachings). The worship is also God-centered, rather than me-centered, which is also unheard of in todays church. They revere and teach out of the Bible, and the sermon wasnt watered down the least bit to spare feelings, but I still walked away feeling the hope of the gospel and strengthened in the truth. I will definitely be back as these are all of the qualities Ive been desperate to find in a church.

BETH DANG St. Brendans Catholic Church is a beautiful church located near Clearwater beach. They have beautiful stain glass windows detailing the saints journey. He was thought to have great adventures and may have discovered America before Columbus. His writing of adventures inspired Columbus to set sail. The pastor is very welcoming of visitors.

Sydney We came to this place looking for a home church since moving to the area one month ago. We were hopeful after reading this church’s beliefs and standards online but were very disappointed in the service as it did not align. During worship, the songs seemed okay but no one was actually worshipping. The message was extremely disappointing as it was hardly scripture based. They only cherry-picked some bible verses to fit the overall message but sometimes didn’t even read the full verse. There was not one bible in sight in the congregation or on stage with the pastor. This is not the solid bible teaching church we were hoping for. I recommend steering clear as this church may have nice people, but they are not moving in the right direction.

Ellen Riley I encourage anyone seeking an inspiring worship experience to explore Cypress Meadows’ online opportunities and to attend the Sunday morning 9:15 services on the lawn. (In an abundance of caution, which I appreciate, services and classes have been held outdoors or via technology during the pandemic.) I did a lot of “church shopping” when moving to the area but kept returning to Cypress Meadows. I was attracted by Pastor Douglas Poole’s personalized and relevant teachings, and by the joyful music. I could also see that the staff work as a tight team to create meaningful gatherings and mission projects, and to unite “their diverse tribe.” I enjoy the friendly, casual atmosphere and also the class offerings.

Joellen Shaw My family was first drawn to First United after attending the annual Wallace Gause concert held at the holidays each year in conjunction with the Pinellas Youth Symphony. As music performers and teachers, some of our students were performing. We were blown away by the music program at the church and started attending regularly soon after. Since that time in the late 90’s , I have personally participated in almost every music ensemble in the church whether traditional or contemporary. For those that find their worship through music there is no better place to fulfill that need. Our pastor, Matt Wallis, gives a sermon each week that is sincere, thoughtful, and compelling. You will leave refreshed and with “food for thought” as you begin your week. The congregation is warm and welcoming to all.

Charlie Dickun I have attended this church for 20 years and am a member of the contemporary praise team there every week. I saw a recent negative review that said some very inappropriate things about our wonderful church. The woman who wrote the poor review even mentioned several names of people who she claimed are racist and mean. I KNOW THESE PEOPLE ! That statement is very untrue! That review was so off base and so unlike everything we stand for at FUMC. I hope she finds someplace that will accept her ramblings and help her find what she is searching for. jason cloutier I was baptized here and my daughter now goes to the daycare and they are five stars from everything that I have seen.I would like to add that my daughter was also now baptized there and they are a church that believes in unity and peace which is very important these days they are a multicultural Church and are welcoming that is truly awesome.there are a lot of fake churches out there that will say anything to get your money this church is not one the holy spirit is real in this church and thats because the people in the church truly have faith and the Pastor is an awesome man who can relate to people who have struggled in their life and they also have a safe house that they built in the Greenwood area and we are going to begin ministering to people in this area to show them what faith can do for them. We have tried many daycares and their daycare stepping Stone is the only one that my 23 month old daughter likes.

My children, ranging from age 5 up to 19, are excited to attend service every Sunday and I’ve watched their spiritual growth over these past 3 years. Miracle Manifestation Almost 4 years ago I had just moved to the area and my son and I went to the trunk or treat. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. This man gave me a PINK BIBLE as my son and I prepared to leave.(The seed). Our family was in search of a church to call our own and after visiting a few sometime later my husband and I were late to another service at another church so we decided to go to The Point instead. We were welcome with open arms and after the service there was an event and a member by the name of Sandy paid for us to participate. It was a spaghetti dinner hosted by the youth group where there was a bidding contest for different items. We wone a spaghetti night themed bowl with all the ingredients for a dinner. Over the years we have continued to visit and when faced with challenges the staff was always available to assist. We have faced many challenges throughout these past years and they have remained consistent with their desire to help. I cant say enough about how they have always done whatever thay could to pray and assist whenever I asked. This will be my forever church home near or far. Special thanks to Pastor Branson, Ms, Vicky, Pastor Brian and Ms. Trish for helping that seed grow. This is truly what I felt other churches lacked, a sense of belonging and assistance when needed in the form of prayer, a listen ear, extra food, helping with cost when our son wanted to play basketball and I was unable to afford the cost due to a financial hardship. In return I volunteer hopefully I make visitors feel as welcomed as I do here at The Point.
