Kathie Carswell Its a small quaint historic church with descendants who,s ancestors were slaves on the Samuel Harrison Plantation on Amelia Island. The slaves settled a small township called Franklintown which is now where the Omni Resort Plantation is located. We also have a cemetery which is located across First Coast Highway in the middle of a subdivision. The descendants and their families have a perpetual easement into the cemetery because it is still an active cemetery.

Libby Malcolm I was so blessed to attend this church last Sunday with my best friend and her son. We were so blessed by the sermon of Pastor Serrano. I was afraid it might he one of those feel good/Ted talk sermons that takes Bible verses out of context because those sorts of churches are so popular now days. We were fed a wonderful, Bible focused message that was completely in context and focused on Jesus and it was what we needed! The worship was also incredible and the Holy Spirit was there!

paula cooney Today was the first time attending the Amelia Island Celebration Church. I am in the process of moving to Yulee from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I enjoyed the Worship and Sermon, but felt like I was just another tourist passing through. Hopefully, this will change as I become more involved. The Celebration Church was recommended to me by one or the Dallas-based pastors of Gateway Church. I did fill out the online connect card a couple of weeks ago, but no one ever reached out to me.

Perhaps the best way I can describe my experience is that my precious grandchildren and I were warmly welcomed and fully embraced by the most kind souls one could ever imagine! It felt as if we had been ushered into their beautiful church family by earthly angels, with such kindness and care, as they connected each of us to childrens church and Pastor Zach Terrys sermon at our first visit, and an enriching adult Bible study group today. I truly can not fully describe my experience here...only that the care and the detail that went into ensuring my grandchildren and I experienced Christs love through each kind soul we met, impressioned me so much that what Ive experienced here has been on my heart every day since first going, and I can hardly wait for us to return again...it was like having a first glimpse of what Heaven will be!

"Often called "The Jewel of Centre Street" this church is a textbook example of Gothic Revival architecture designed by noted architect Robert Sands Schuyler. It features lancet, arch-shaped windows, a steeply pitched roof, buttressed walls and a tower with a castellated parapet. The tabby walls are 18" thick and overlaid with cement. Originally constructed 1881-84, it was severely damaged by fire in 1892, resulting in some minor changes to its appearance: the original spire was not rebuilt, but elaborate entrances were added, along with the chien assi ("sitting dog") windows in the roof. Following the fire, the east end of the church was extended 7 feet to provide space for an elaborate Harrison pipe organ which was dedicated on the evening of November 14, 1893."
