5 /5 Kathie Carswell: Its a small quaint historic church with descendants who,s ancestors were slaves on the Samuel Harrison Plantation on Amelia Island. The slaves settled a small township called Franklintown which is now where the Omni Resort Plantation is located. We also have a cemetery which is located across First Coast Highway in the middle of a subdivision. The descendants and their families have a perpetual easement into the cemetery because it is still an active cemetery.
