dylan hughes New River Fellowship is the first church which truly made me feel at home. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and have watched it grow year by year. The experience is always amazing, from the sermon, to the music, to the sense of community you will experience. They’re sure to make you feel at home and as if you are a part of things. I’ve made many new friends since coming here. Pastor Daniel, in particular, has been very helpful and generous with his time. R. Dennison Wine Study and Bible Tasting was a great, unique experience! Everyone was welcoming and a casual environment at the beach. Bring your own chair and Bible. Lots of discussion points and topics to really think about. The wine “study” was a fun ice breaker as well!

Heather Penor This church is 5 min from where I live. The service is always great and the people are absolutely inviting. I prayed I could find a group of people and if God found this to be the place for me that someone would ask me out to lunch or coffee. The first time I went I was asked out to lunch with a group. The community they have is lovely and I really admire how the pastor started the church and why - wanting to meet people where they are and break through all barriers that hold us back from our relationship with God. This church goes right from scripture and has passion in the word. Pastor Mark does a great job at making it easy to understand and pairing that picture in your mind. He spoke on a topic and really broke everything down. That day I heard what I needed to hear in his service from Heavenly Father. This is a growing church that’s has everything from their heart and mind in the right place for Jesus.

Emmanuelle Cador Its always a blessing to have sometimes at this church. We have a separate family restroom with chairs for breastfeeding and nursing mom in the ladies room. We also have a family worship place for parents who want to worship with their young children. And a nursery (0-2), family center for children (2-5), SurgeKids (5-11), Wired (middle schoolers), High schoolers, Vibe for young adults. All generations are welcome.

Lillie Levros-Desir Fantastic non-denominational church. Atmosphere is fantastic and the pastoral staff make you feel welcomed. The singing is nice. I enjoy hearing the Pastor’s relatable message the most. Church is about 2 hours, but the time goes by fast. My 5 year old goes to children’s church. I wish they broke down the age groups a bit more for the kids, but she enjoys the energy regardless. If you’re reading this, Jesus is real and He loves you oh so very much. He is waiting for you to call on Him. Come to this church and ask more about this Jesus. They’ll be happy to tell you about the Good News❤️

Yazmin Mellinger The Holy Spirit is felt powerfully. Pastor Matt preaches sound doctrine and he keeps young and old people engaged in the word of God. My daughter and son-in-law attend here and my grandson will be born and blessed by this church community. We feel like it’s also our second home.

Ella Mihov I dont often write reviews, but this church is amazing! The singing was fantastic, and a good 30 minutes. The pastors message was absolutely profound, and under 30 minutes, unlike many other churches. It was the perfect balance. The atmosphere is city chic and very cool, and most importantly, everyone is SO WELCOMING. I loved coming here and will return each time when Im in the area!

Whitney I watched a service online the other week to scope the scene a bit before coming in and I really enjoyed the message / style of the service. I walked over and attended the service in the flesh this recent Sunday and it was a phenomenal experience for me. I just moved into the area from Utah and have experienced all sorts of churches, religions, and teachings and I will say that this church is one of the best I’ve attended so far. The people there were warm and friendly to me and I was able to actually feel the presence of God/Holy Spirit/Jesus Christ over the service and that’s honestly hard to come by these days. The worship team (music) was amazing and the pastor I witnessed is truly anointed, tapped into the truth and on fire for the Lord. Both services, online and in person, really resonated with me and moved me in a way that proved to me that the Creator is with this church. Very thankful to have found them and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested and in the area. ♥️

Tony Allo I watched pastor Rick for a long while on the live steam and by doing so it has helped me in the process of giving myself to Christ. Today was the first time going in person to the church for service and it was absolutely wonderful everyone was nice and welcoming which helped tremendously with making me feel comfortable. As soon as the service was over and I got to my car to head home I immediately started to cry uncontrollably for how grateful I am and cried the entire way home. Michael Buonaiuto Ive been attending Rio Vista for just over a year now. I really like the small group that we meet up with on Tuesday nights. I appreciate the dedication to having a coffee hour in between services. I feel welcomed and comfortable to share my struggles with church leaders...even to the point I am going to attend couples counseling with the associate pastor, his wife, and my girlfriend. The worship is good. Very predictable. Never too rocky, never too sappy. The sermon (no matter who is preaching) is always introspective. Pastor Tom was a lawyer and my future father-in-law said he thought Toms message was laid out like a case. I guess thats true sometimes but for me, its more of an easy to listen to guy sharing whats on his heart and pointing the answer to the cross. There are consistently events happening at the church like game nights, young adult nights, mens breakfasts, rallies, worship nights...and theyre just about to open a new building next door that Im really excited for. Rio Vista is in a beautiful part of town and I feel truly blessed to be part of a church I can lean on like a family.

Christian N We just started coming here a few months ago, and as a lifetime church goer I have to say, this pastor is probably the best preacher and teacher of the Word I have ever seen. His sermons are really incredibly good and he is so clear and smart and makes each sermon into a valuable teaching moment. I takeaway so much from his sermons, more than I ever have before, I’m also learning more than I ever have before. He is a thoughtful teacher and you can really see God speaking through him every week. Truly anointed. We also never feel awkward or unwelcome coming in as new comers each week, which is also so refreshing. The beautiful worship time is so nice and so filled with the Holy Spirit. Their outreach in the community is also something that is so amazing and unmatched in my experience in the area. A great church and welcoming environment.

So many good times coming here The sermon is excellent. deirdre haynes I was born and raised in this church. I have seen 5 pastors in my 42 years. Our current pastor is a native of nigeria and is an elder in the united methodist church. He is an imperfect man but a phenomenal teacher of the word. There will be no theatrics, no whootin n hollering, but if you come with an open heart to receive, you will be blessed. I am the leader of the girl scout troop that calls st john home. We have many ministries that you can find yourself nourished by as you too nourish and enrich the lives of others.
