88 Keys Florida Restaurant & Bar - Punta Gorda (FL)

2 /5 B C: We have never been to 88 Keys and decided to give it a try - three of us had dinner there. I looked at the menu online for the restaurant and they had a good selection. Upon arriving there was only a few customers on a Friday night which was odd, we were seated and given a menu which had only 4 choices for our meal and two of them were for 2. We ordered 2 appetizers and waited for 15 minutes then another table came in and ordered the same appetizers and were served at least 10 minutes ahead of us. The chef came out and knew the party of two that ordered after us. The same thing happened with our meal we had already ordered and their meal came out 10-15 minutes ahead of ours. The table next to us also complained about the piano player singing being to loud and the waitress told him to turn it down - (he wasnt loud at all). I kept quiet during the meal, I have never had this happen before lucky we had company visiting in town or I would of walked out. Service was very very slow. I will say the food was good but the menu is very limited - Duck, steak for 2 or a seafood dish for 2 , and the other dish I do not remember what it was. So - to end the review no we will not be coming back due to the waitress snubbing us and showing favoritism to 2 under dressed complainers. Every place in Punta Gorda was full except this place now I can see why. - TO add - there was no Hostess when we came in and the bar area was completely empty we stood there for 5 minutes looking around until one of the two waiters seated us.

5 /5 Uzma Osman: Quaint ambience with live piano bar. Enjoyed my birthday dinner with exquisite delicacies from the menu with impeccable presentation. Excellent customer service, the manager and the server made sure to provide us with what we desired. Highly recommend.

3 /5 Amanda Donnar: Ive been here many times... and Im a HUGE suppoter of our Punta Gorda restaurants! When walking in the front door.... the hostess Althea is AMAZING. Like she is made for this job and you better take care of that woman because she makes up for A LOT!!!!! Our service from Cheryl (Sheryl?) was incredibly disappointing. The passive aggressiveness and comments she made were incredibly uncomfortable... without going into detail. And can one order from the Perch 360 menu that was tucked into our menu or not? I specifically asked the hostess about that menu upon seating to which she replied "you can order anything from wherever you want". Cheryl had other instructions.... said that those menus should NOT have been included. I tried to speak twice to her, asking her because I had specifically asked the hostess about this... and she completely and totally ignored both instances, talking over me. We allowed her to finish service, as is. Super disappointing.
