1 /5 Tiffani Lynn: Went there for brunch. Order the country benny, sausage was way too cooked on one side and left a very charred aftertaste, and eggs were not poached what so ever. If anything it was a boiled egg on top of sausage and a biscuits. Also asked to top the whole plate with cheese, since I am a cheese fanatic, received only cheese on the hash browns but did request to fix it and received a “pinch” of cheese on top of the benny. Friend ordered the steak and eggs, cooked well temp wise but the cut of the meat was fatty as all get out. My son had no issues with his “the diner” breakfast. Also was not provided with any silverware until we requested after we received our food. The server did seem to have a bit of an attitude but I work in the industry as well and know how stressful it can be. But when I order ketchup with my meal, because there is no ketchup provided, and then she doesn’t bring it when the meal arrives or even after waiting five minutes after the food was received, and my friend has to go grab the ketchup from her she most definitely turned right around and shook her head as if she was annoyed that we are now asking for ketchup. We did have two visitors while eating, the lovely flies who decided to join us for the whole meal. I was really looking forward to the “new” broad st diner but they do have a lot of things that were on the C’s waffle menu and the service and ambience are very much like the previous business.
The perks, I still ate, left with a fully belly. They did have lots of customers in the dining room and the time to get the food was commendable.
