1 /5 Michaela Miller: We arrived at 5:29 PM with our two-year-old and four-month-old and were seated without being informed of any service delays. We placed our food order at 5:50 PM. About 10 minutes later, we received waters and an appetizer, followed by our beverages at 6:03 PM.
We then waited an additional 60 minutes or more for our meals. During this time, we overheard staff telling another table that the kitchen was running behind. Later, it was admitted to us that there were only five workers in the kitchen. Despite this, no one communicated delays to us directly. The kitchen continued sending out fried appetizer after fried appetizer to other tables, yet our simple meals—burgers, chicken tenders, fried shrimp, and a salad—were not brought out in a timely manner. Understandably, our young children became restless.
After waiting approximately 45 minutes, our server told us the food would be out “in a few minutes.” It took another 20 minutes before the food finally arrived. By that point, my husband had grown frustrated and decided to leave due to the excessive wait.
When he expressed his concern, a female server stated that an hour wait for food was “normal,” made an inappropriate comment about my husband as a parent, and later told us that we should have said something 35 minutes into the wait if we were unhappy. This response was extremely unprofessional, especially given that we were never informed of delays in the first place. No apology was offered.
I remained calm and tried to be understanding throughout the experience, but the staff responded with attitude and dismissed our concerns. Unfortunately, this experience left us very disappointed.
