4 /5 Rebecca Rodriguez: I had visited this establishment for the first time this evening and was surprised. Ive been told on countless occasions how excellent the food was. I will not say that the food wasnt good, it was just a few dishes lacked on the delivery it promises. The fish & chips barely had a whisper of carribean flavor, although it was properly cooked. I wont complain about the portion size because it seems pointless, but its definitely more appetizer size then full meal. The Papillon mocktail was to die for, and contained all the tropical flavor I had been looking for. The deals during happy hour were great, and I will definitely return for those. The beef on the burger was so tender, I didnt realize I could have beef that exquisite on this side of the coast, as though it had been blessed by the butcher. And while, I understand the unique twists and add ons that give food that special touch, sweet potato definitely does not need to be in honey mustard that accompanies the pickles as it gives it a paste like texture. Nevertheless, for the top tier friendly staff, the atmosphere and the sweet and sour cauliflower, this place definitely deserves attention. Oh, and the warm date cake was the underdog that defied expectations. Although that dessert was not reccomended to me, it was what saved this palette from heartbreak. Had I decided to go on the waiters dessert recommendation, I wouldve been utterly disappointed, and sent it back for a different one altogether. Nonetheless, I had such a wonderful experience and Im sure everyone who visits here will say so too.
