5 /5 Kirsy Rod: If you’re looking for añuthentic Dominican flavors in Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie, El Patio de los Domis is a must-visit! My mom and I stopped by while we were in the area, and let me tell you—this food truck brings the taste of home.
I had the chimi (the Dominican take on a burger), and it was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of messy—in the best way! I also tried the yaroa, loaded fries topped with shredded chicken and pork, and it was absolute perfection. My mom went with a classic—grilled chicken breast with rice, beans, and a fresh salad, and she couldn’t stop raving about how homemade it tasted.
We washed it all down with a morir soñando de chinola—a creamy, dreamy mix of passion fruit juice and milk. If you’ve never had this drink, you need to try it! And to top it all off, we had guava flan for dessert, it was absolutely delectable!
(Which by the way all of their delicious desserts are made by Jary’s Delightful Bites. They make all kinds of delicious desserts from Choco flan to Tres leches and everything in between. This is their Instagram: @jarysdelightfulbites)
The owner was there, and you could tell how passionate he is about his food. Friendly service, incredible flavors, and a real taste of the Dominican Republic—this place is definitely worth the visit (or even a road trip)!
