5 /5 Adrienne Menzies: First, the service — truly outstanding. It’s hard to find good service these days, especially in busy restaurants, but Chris Whiteside was by far the best server I’ve had in years. He was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. When our food took a little longer than expected, he surprised us with complimentary dessert without us even asking. He was also thoughtful enough to be mindful of the fact that I’m sober, pointing out which desserts would and wouldn’t be appropriate for me. That kind of care really sticks out.
Now, the food. I’m a very picky eater at restaurants — not because I dislike food (quite the opposite, I’m a passionate home chef myself) — but because it takes a lot to impress me. And I have to say, this place blew me away. The steak with black garlic butter was absolutely incredible — one of the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp appetizer was to die for, and the crème brûlée was perfectly balanced, rich without being overly sweet.
If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. My only small critique is that the restaurant is quite loud. A few acoustic tiles on the ceiling could make a world of difference.
