1 /5 Shanon Rouleau: My husband, daughter, and I decided to try The Golden Spoon for dinner this evening. Unfortunately, it was our first and last time eating there.

The visit actually started off quite well. We were greeted right away upon arrival and found a table easily. Additionally, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the initial presentation of the plates was nice.

While the plates looked good, I certainly can’t say the same for the taste. The quality was disappointing across the board.
My husband said his ribs were just "okay," but the sides were a failure—the green beans were bland and his baked potato was old and hard.
My daughter’s Snapper was severely lacking flavor, and the green bell pepper in her side salad was actually brown.
My own meal, the Greek Spinach Pie, was equally disappointing; the spinach pie was not up to par.
The experience went from mediocre to unacceptable very quickly. First, the women’s restroom smelled strongly of an ashtray.
However, the most shocking part of the night was the staffs behavior. At one point, my daughter looked up from her fish and noticed our server making out with the busboy. About five minutes later, she pointed out that they were doing it again—this time right in the middle of the dining room. When I turned around and saw them, they realized they had been caught and simply laughed about it.
This is obviously not appropriate workplace behavior, even for teenagers. We will not be returning.
