5 /5 Theresa Brennan: New Orleans style restaurant with spicy cajun flavors as well as more traditional American fare like salads and burgers. This is my second visit, and both times were great. First time, there were four of us and we sat in the courtyard. This time, just two of us, and we got a table out front along San Marcos Ave / A1A across from the water and Bridge of Lions. What a great view!
Today our server was Nikki, who was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items and food allergies. I asked for a gluten free menu and she asked if there were any other food allergies. I told her I was allergic to celery too, and she almost cringed. She said thats a tough one because a lot of their dishes have celery in them. But it wasnt a problem for me. I looked at the gluten-free menu and chose the scallops with garlic mashed potatoes (GF and celery free). We ordered the bourdin balls (basically sausage, rice and cheese) as our appetizer. Everything was delicious!
On my first visit several months ago, I ordered the cobb salad with the house dressing, which was also very tasty. There was also live music in the courtyard the first time, which provided an enjoyable atmosphere. The first experience was so good, from food, to service, to ambiance, I wanted to go back again, which I did today. Still more on the menu I want to try, so Im sure Ill be back again.
