4 /5 Claire Swift: Renato’s in West Palm Beach is a solid dining experience overall, with good food and a menu that offers plenty of appealing options. I’ve always enjoyed the flavors and quality of their dishes, and there’s no doubt that the kitchen knows what it’s doing.
That said, there were a few aspects of my recent visit that were disappointing. First, the atmosphere felt surprisingly uptight, even though we were seated outside. I expected the outdoor seating to feel more relaxed and casual, but instead it seemed rigid and formal, which made it a little uncomfortable for a leisurely meal.
The service was another mixed experience. While the staff was polite, there was a significant mistake with our wine order. The waiter brought me and served the wrong bottle, which was frustrating and disrupted the flow of the evening. Mistakes happen, of course, but the way it was handled didn’t feel ideal—it took a bit of effort to get it corrected.
Overall, Renato’s delivers on food quality and has the potential for a great dining experience, but the atmosphere and service issues prevented it from being truly exceptional. With a bit more attention to the guest experience and a more relaxed vibe, this could easily be one of the best spots in West Palm Beach.
